Good Morning, It's Friday 17th March, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Adams could be out for season

Injury expert Ben Dinnery has disclosed that Tyler Adams season could be over, depending on results from a recent MRI scan. The 24yo picked up a hamstring injury in training earlier this week, and has now been sent to a specialist by Leeds interim Manager Javi Gracia.

Although we're not privy to the results of the scan, the fact that the USA International has been sent to a specialist, indicates that it's not just a knock. Dinnery explains that the grade of the injury will determine how long Adams will be sidelined for.

A grade one injury is commonly known as a hamstring strain, and would keep Adams out for 2 or 3 weeks, but a level 2 (partial tear), or God forbid level 3 (severe tear) could see his season come to an abrupt end.

“Ideally, we’re looking at something maybe in early April, but again, just given the nature of that injury, you need to make sure that you when they come back, they stay back and they don’t suffer any kind of recurrence or re-injury that will rule them out of the campaign." “If an MRI scan reveals something a little bit more sinister, maybe a grade two and beyond, then that timeline can easily be stretched to four to six weeks and even beyond that.

“Obviously, if we were talking about something which would be a grade three, almost a complete rupture, then almost certainly, there would be some kind of surgical intervention and that would end his season. We’d be looking at something in excess of three months.”

Four points separates Leeds from 12th place

With just five goals from their last nine games, Leeds have slipped, deep in the mire. Whilst, just a single point separates them from the pit of the table, yet there are reasons for optimism, as they head to Molineux at the weekend.

After what has seemed an eternity, Leeds can finally welcome back Rodrigo, and Luis Sinisterra, back to the fold. Both should be fit enough to play a major part in proceedings, against a Wolves side who have registered just 20 goals all season.

In what's turning out to be one of the closest relegation battles in years, just four points separates Leeds, in 19th place, and Crystal Palace in 12th; and with 36 points up for grabs between now and the end of the season, there's still time to drag themselves clear of the drop zone.

Harrison and Arronson should be axed

Leeds reporter Beren Cross believes Jack Harrison and Brenden Arronson should be axed to make way for Rodrigo and Wilfred Gnonto, after poor performances last weekend. The Leeds-live journalist describes the American as frustrating, whilst Harrison's own goal tells it's own story.

"This charade with Wilfried Gnonto would end too. The Italian is evidently the best, if not second best, attacker in the side when everyone is fully fit. Gnonto has to start and cut in off that left flank in what looks like the 4-2-2-2 Javi Gracia used with Watford."

"Jack Harrison and Brenden Aaronson would make way for Gnonto and Rodrigo. Aaronson continues to frustrate and around his goal and assist, reviews of Harrison’s performance last weekend were hardly flattering on the whole."

Don’t think that’s a good move by Palace tbh.

    They’re panicking.

Love how without knowing the result of the scan, he automatically thinks of the worst case scenario, I suppose that's what gets people clicking, he may be correct but piss off with negativity until you know for sure.

Quite easily see it being 4 or 5 teams involved right up to the last day of the season , where 6 of the current 9, play one another, a very interesting but nervy end to the season for a lot of us.

I thought Aaronson had a decent game last week, if you bring back Rodrigo then you have to drop Paddy, they dont work well together, ruins Rodrigo's game imo , as he's always the one who has to switch to his unnatural position. Of the attackers last week, I thought Summerville was the weak link, Jack is frustrating but we do seem to lack something defensively when he's not playing, the og was ridiculous but he's not done owt like that before iirc.

9 PL managers sacked now this season

history tells you that continuity is usually the recipe for success in football, and yet chairmen swap managers in the hope of a bounce season after season if their side has a run of bad results

they’re nominally in the relegation battle, but have the easiest run of fixtures of anyone down there.
