Good Morning. It's Friday 14th February, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road. Couzens urges Bielsa to partner Bamford and Augustin up front Andy Couzens has urged Marcelo Bielsa to partner Augustin and Bamford up-front together for their crunch game against the Robin's. The former Leeds midfielder, part of the 1993 youth team that beat Manchester United was quoted as saying:- Would you like to see both strikers play together? According to Elland Road sources, Augustin is in excellent physical condition after doing extensive training with Leeds’ conditioning staff away from the main squad since he joined last month. Do you think Bamford gets isolated up front by himself having to resort to snap shots as he is so heavily marked? Would a change of formation do the team good? Is it unfair for Bielsa to expect Bamford to undertake an all round role when Leeds are not attacking? Is this having a negative impact on the former Boro mans game? Should Bamford be used as a number 10? Have we missed not having a No 10 since Saiz left? please log in to view this image Kelvin Phillips - We let our performance shut them up Freshly back from suspension, Kelvin Phillips was interviewed following the 1-1 draw at Griffin Park. The 24yo couldn't help but to bite back following comments from Bees Manager Thomas Frank that Leeds feared Brentford! Do you agree with these comments? Ben White spotted on Sky camera's trying to 'borrow' Brentfords keeper David Raya's gloves during a Leeds corner. Imagine up uproar had Leeds scored from it! Also, Bielsa reveals why Poveda hasn't been in the squad recently Safe standing could be introduced in top two tiers by next year Safe standing could be introduced in the top two tiers of English football by next year after research found it had a 'positive impact on spectator safety'. The Sports Grounds Safety Authority (SGSA) have compiled an interim report which finds the installation of barriers in seated areas at football grounds - such as the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wolves' Molineux - has 'mitigated the risk of crowd collapse'. Peter Daykin, the head of the Football Supporters' Association Stand Up For Choice campaign, said: Would you like to see a safe standing area? Would you take advantage of it? Morning all.. In a rush this morning, no I don’t believe we do or should fear anyone, if Bamford plays as a 10 in place of the out of form Pablo or Costa I’d be happy to see it tried.
Morning all. Not going to bother commenting on the Bielsa presser, it would only upset a few. Thankfully its Friday
This is wainmanjoe's pre Bristol game previews. Reason I'm posting this is to show just how quick things can spread around, and, fact or fiction, some people believe it. What Joe says (3:33) was said on twitter, and I copy/pasted it in the highlights post, now Joe is repeating it and I'm sure others will repeat it in future, with add ons. While what the original twitter tweeted is correct, realistically, those stats mean nothing regarding last season cos we didn't get promoted. If Bielsa doesn't get us promoted this season (hopefully he does) then the same stats will mean nothing again. So, if you want to repeat it to others, be prepared for a "yes, but you didn't get promoted" reply.
I quite like my stats. The one about time spent in the top 2 is perhaps the most irrelevant one I’ve heard in a long time. it’s just reflective of being fast starters. you only need to be in the top 2 for 1 week of the season, the last one so I agree with LL. ... Better bookmark this
Some chance. We don't do the cards, flowers ****e anymore. Her choice so out for a meal and a few pints tomorrow night instead. Hopefully a bit of bouncing on the trampoline after
I watched the first two minutes and got bored if I’m honest, it does my head in when they go on and on about bookmarking and clicking follow then to top it all he was trying to flog some Leeds mugs. At the end of the day I don’t know what this guy said but thought does it matter, he is just one fan with one opinion
didn’t watch it... just knew the stat he was referring to these vloggers do my nut in... I’m from a generation that struggles to come to terms with the idea that ‘youtuber’ is a job. Or that someone can get 20m followers from showing clips of themselves playing video games. ... and then staging a fight with another youtuber that becomes ppv each to their own for what constitutes entertainment
