Whilst AO Tanaka and Joe Rothwell are proving valuable stand-ins, Kouyate would add both strength in depth, extra quality and of-course experience. My guess is we’d likely use Schmidt, Gnonto or one of the youngsters as midfield cover, once James and Solomon are back. Personally don’t have a problem bringing someone in as cover, particularly someone with experience, but fitness and buy-in to the way Farke wants to play is essential. Can’t see it happening, but hey, who knows.
Morning all. No harm bringing in some bodies. Squad is pitifully light and any strengthening would be welcome as Im sure these aren't the last injuries of the season. I see Bamford said in an interview he considered leaving the club after the death threats to his family but changed his mind
A real sellout. What a waste of time risking another injury to one of our players with that level of interest in the match
