perfect1.jpg Good Morning. It's Friday 11th October, and here are the Leeds Utd headlines

Leeds boo boys out in force on social media

Leeds fans on social media aren’t happy after it was revealed that Steven Gerrard is being eyed as Bielsa’s successor by the Elland Road hierarchy.

Is it uncool for Leeds fans to be happy and positive about Leeds Utd?

We all know that Bielsa's contract only lasts until the end of this current season, and should Leeds not get promoted, he will leave the club!

What about Carlos Corberan? The 36yo former Spanish goalkeeper guided our U23's to Northern and National success last term. It was widely publicised that he was likely to succeed the Argentine when he eventually steps down especially as he works with Bielsa day in, day out!

If Gerrard were to join Leeds, I feel it would be as a stepping stone until the hot seat at Anfield was available!

Last Summer when Bielsa's future was up in the air, bookmakers opened their books as to who would be Leeds next Manager.

These were the odds / likely candidates

    Carlos Corberan 5/1

    Nigel Pearson 11/1

    David Moyes 11/1

    Sam Allardyce 11/1

    Mikel Arteta 14/1

    Carlos Carvalhal 14/1

    Chris Coleman 14/1

    Alan Pardew 16/1

Nketiah shows why he should start for Leeds

Eddie Nketiah has been training with the England young lions. This is what we are missing on on by having the 20yo on the bench for 80% of matches.

    Thoughts?

    Hernandez responding well to treatment

Pablo Hernandez is responding well to treatment, and may be available shortly after the International Break!

How much have Leeds missed the 34yo?

Realistically, how many games this season can our talisman play?

Is he as good as he was last season?

Which players form have dropped this season, compared to last, and why do you think that is?

Are there any players which have been more impressive this term, than last?

How important is Ben White to us? Brighton have recently come out and said he is now a 20m player! Agree?

Watching us lose at Charlton (what fun) I came to the conclusion we are a bit like a one man team, we missed Pablo tremendously. Big problem as even when fit he tires and gets jaded.

    List of managers

    Some shockers amongst that lot

    Nketiah

Looks a natural but doesn't fit in Bielsa set-up. If that's the case why did we sign Eddie ?

    Hernandez

We miss Pablo big-time, he is our most creative player even when he was below par prior to his injury

    Ben White

Lose White or Phillips & we are up the creek, as simple as that :(

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

i have to say the list of potential managers is bollox and not one plays exiting attacking football, except maybe Arteta who works under Pep. Bielsa will leave either Carlos Corberan or someone he recommends and the club will try and land that person. Stupidity would be to have had Bielsa rebuild your club from the ground floor including academy and coaching and then bin it for David Moyes. Anyone think thats a good idea can go do one

I detest these International breaks and cant even be arsed to watch England anymore. Felt sorry for NI last night who were doing fantastic against a good Dutch side. Dallas was having a blinder and BPF wasnt. They allowed Holland back in and then it looked like a 1-1 draw until a freakshow which BpF was involved in and in the 92nd minute they scored. A minute later a loose pass in midfield saw NI wilt and another goal scored against them

Scotland were shyte again and the Welsh have done nothing at all under Giggs and you know you're a shyte coach when Chris Coleman gets better results

1974: Revie recommends Giles as his successor to continue all the good work that had gone before. Leeds appoint Clough who proceeds to dismantle all the good work and rip the club apart.

If this proves to be Bielsa's last season could history repeat itself?

2020: Bielsa recommends Corberan as his successor to continue all the good work that had gone before. Leeds appoint eg Moyes who proceeds to dismantle all the good work and rip the club apart.

Will Leeds United make the same mistake again? Personally I doubt it, but you never know.

Agree with every letter of that :emoticon-0148-yes:
Once again this season, hoping Leeds go up & Southampton stay up, well last season 50% came true :( Talk about deja vu.
Only three managers i like from the above list Corberan first choice and then Arteta, then if you can't get out of this division prettily, then it's Pearson to do it the ugilly way.
Morning all from a rather wet Southampton.

Who'd like to see Alan Pardew as our next Manager.

He's been linked with the ER hot seat every vacancy for the last 5 years

Forza :emoticon-0148-yes: I have it on good authority that the demise of the all conquering Man Utd was because of Moyes. Instead of coming in and carrying on with the academy and coaching staff etc, he came in and brought his own coaches and ripped up the academy, housekeeping, catering and canteen rules. OGS apparently is trying to rebuild that behind the scenes, so a few managers later they are still way behind and only just finished paying Moyes wages as he had a 6 year deal.

I fear exactly the same happening if anyone other than a Bielsa decipel like Simeoni, or a coach working under Pochetino, Pep or Corberan takes over because they would appreciate everything in place

I know I risk being burnt on the stake as a heretic for questioning Bielsa but what I don’t understand is. It was widely reported that we were going to sign either Eddie or Ryan Kent. Bielsa believed he could convert Kent from a winger to play as a centre forward. So we sign a centre forward and natural goal scorer so why can’t he coach him into being a better player able to start in his system?
