Good Morning Everyone Patrick Bamford is set to return early from his cruciate knee ligament injury sustained in September. The Yorkshire Evening Post are claiming that our Summer marquee signing is aiming to be fully fit and back in contention to play by “the end of the year, if not before”. Can Bamford and Roofe play together? Interesting stats of the Championship so far. Morning all Stats again, well how about this one. If Leeds had completed all their attempted passes they would be top of the stats. You can also see the teams who are getting attacked a lot and which teams are the tallest....... This isn't moneyball Anyway onward towards the weekend. Not much around today except comments about yesterdays prezzer where Bielsa was sounding more like a Sage than a footy manager. No wonder this guy is revered around the world and you get the impression that most players would want to play for him
Morning all... No to Bamford and Roofe playing together, Roofe is no good out wide. Regarding the stats, is that average per game? I’d have to question them, Brentford not in the top 5 for passes per game? Surely lower down teams need to make more tackles as they are chasing the ball more?
Morning Matt and all Never interested in stats, often don't show the full picture, ie, look at Reading's stats under Stam, you'd think they were Barcelona rather looking like a Sunday morning pub team. Bamford will be a bench player when he returns imo, will only start if Roofe is injured.
Good morning Matt & everyone Bielsa will stick to one striker up top Will be a massive asset to have Bamford on the bench once he's fit again
Evening All, Really the only stat that matters is finishing top of the league. I'm hoping he does psychology too Bielsa knows it will be a difficult task to overcome West Brom though and United’s head coach had praise for the Baggies squad. “I think the best offensive players in the Championship play for West Bromwich,” said Bielsa. “They might not have the best players in each position, but if we take as a whole the 10, 15, 19 and 16 (Matt Phillips, Harvery Barnes, Jay Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle) they are the best offensive players.
They stats do show the teams who try to play football in the correct way Notice Birmingham & Blackburn who beat us don't feature high in those stats, Boro' tend to grind out 0-0 draws as the smoggies bore the championship to death
Just read a piece from some WBA fans who are bricking it. They say they have almost a premiership team but if the opposition can stop their attack and pass them off the park, they will look stupid. They fear Bielsaball and beginning to wonder if Darren Moore is the answer to bouncing back up
Yup I think our man knows their strengths and hence will play the type of football to nullify them. It will be interesting to see what sort of midfield is used on Saturday, not the players but the style.
Morning all. WBA looked a decent attacking team earlier in the season. I think that this should suit Leeds who can move the ball quickly from the back and can strike from several players. Good luck lads.
Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey I think we should adopt the Derby approach to WBA attack attack attack their defence is awful Tonight is another good game on paper could you tell me were I can watch it on stream Matt please Pleased to see Bamford improving but the key is Issz lets hope he will be playing soon I really don't see Bamford and Roofe together
Loved having Bartley with us and was sorry Bielsa didnt fancy him, but lets be honest Bartley was a reject in the Prem under at least 2 Swansea managers and even rejected in relegation. Now under pressure at WBA and to be frank I want to see him put on his arse trying to stem the attacks coming from Leeds.
Morning all.....looking forward to the game tomorrow, would be happy with a point from this one. I agree with leeds 60 we should attack from the start & try to dominate possession, because to state the blindingly obvious, if we've got the ball, they can't score.
typical spoilt prem fans who cant see the obvious so blame the manager.we have a team spirit so just need to keep it going the full game.we can win but i am worried about dallasty at fullback.
bamford left side alioski right in a front three pablo given a free role might work and see more chances taken.
Heres a stat that proves that most stats are useless unless targetted. Who is the most prolific striker to ever play for Leeds and scored 157 goals Anthony Elding. That my friends is a pointless useless stat
