Good Morning Everyone Bristol City have completed the loan signing of New Zealand goalkeeper Stefan Marinovic in time tomorrows clash with Leeds. Marinovic 27, is a free agent, hence Bristol City are allowed to sign him outside the transfer window. First choice keeper Niki Maenpaa, who was due to undergo scans on a calf strain, having already lost Frank Fielding to a fractured hand. Johnson Marinvoic has been without a club since November. It was Alioski's turn to accompany Bielsa for the Press conference. The Gaffer confirmed that he will stick to the same starting XI for the fourth game in a row! Alioski refused to reveal what his goal celebrations are about. "I'm sorry. I want to keep this secret." He said he likes the references to him being the Duracell Bunny. "I think it's good. Jack Clarke will begin his comeback trail with the under 23's against Charlton Athletic at Elland Road on Monday evening What would you do if you saw a helpless person getting beaten up. Would you rush to their assistance? What if it were a football fan? Have you ever jumped in to save somebody before? Have you ever been set on for no reason?
Good Morning to Matt and co from a sunny cool Bardsey Johnson having seen our last game as panicked into signing a keeper who hasn't played since last Nov I think his first 2 choices are injured Not been down to Bristol for a spying mission but O.Dowda maybe injured. This will be a tough game make no mistake but its not been a bad ground for us I must say A few years ago I was walking back on the side of the Trent after the Leeds game when I came upon these young thugs attAcking a boy about 10 years old I wondered where his parents were so I stepped in thinking someone my size would scare them .They immediately surrounded me so I thought well Mike hit the biggest hard and see what happens .It worked and they all scattered and the young lad got away Going with Moe to have her cattarrac out today she had one out last December. It only takes 20 minutes now and I would recoomend the clinic at Appleby Bridge its state of the art Then on Tuesday I have an op for my Barrets again something to look forward too!
Morning all. Duracell Bunny very funny. Dont like to read about opposition having injury worries as we invariably get beaten then. Looking for ward to the three games in a week, well get a real picture of how the race is shaping up. Got my tickets sorted for the Villa game and transport all sorted. Two nights stayover in Leeds as well. Potentially a cracking weekend, fingers crossed. As regards seeing someone being beaten up, as a younger lad Id have intervened, but these days Id walk on by unless family or a close friend was involved. Heres a story that happened about ten years ago to a brother of a friend of mine living on Dublin outskirts. There was a gang of lads beating up a young fella outside his house. Friends brother was maybe fifty at the time. He intervened to try and help, took a blow resulting in falling, hitting his head on edge of footpath and died within a day leaving a family behind. Served as a lesson to me to mind my own business however difficult it would be. Far too many drugged up yobs carrying knives and other stuff. Police dont even want to intervene and theyre paid to
by Irish Ian » Fri Mar 08, 2019 9:55 am (on a neighboring Leeds board) Yeah hopefully the Bristol back line will not understand Marinovics' Kiwi accent when he calls for a high ball and get into a tangle with their centre backs with hilarious and goal scoring results. please log in to view this image Re being subjected to violence... We were attacked by a crowd of lads lobbing blocks of concrete from a neighbouring high story carpark a match in Dublin. Then of course their was retaliation and the whole thing kicked off. Police , riot shields, busted heads. Not pretty. Our coach didn't have a window left intact as the locals decided to give us a send off. Scary Me and my mate Paul were surrounded by a gang in the coach park outside Wembley Stadium after a WC qualifier. It was obvious they had been waiting for an opportunity to ambush someone. Thankfully their leader wanted to give us a speech before they used their knives on us and me Paul managed to leg it. Very Scary. However the worst was not footie related. Me and 3 mates hired a car to get us to Dublin for an AC / DC gig. We were driving through Belfast and before we knew it we were forced off the road by the police and army. Dragged out if the car, face down in the middle of the road ,lots of shouting, and a rifle muzzle almost nestled in my head. I found this out when I tried to look up and that was when things got very worrying. The squaddie started screaming at me. And in that instant I realised he was scared too.....Kids with guns.. This was during the time when there was a so called Shoot to Kill policy enacted by the Security Forces. Sadly some people did lose their lives in similar situations due to panic setting in. We were all arrested but later released. The problem was the car. It had been flagged as dodgy and they thought we were terrorists on our way to a job. An I interesting footnote to this episode is that 6 months later, in the same part of town the police did open up on a car of four terrorists, killing three with one surviving. One of the guys who got killed lived around the corner from me. But he had it coming Imo. I often wonder for how long the security forces had been planning their operation.
Was at Port Vale v Leeds one season, couldn't get ticket from Leeds so sat in the home end. At half time I went for a beer and came across 2 Leeds fans getting set on by 2 Vale fans, cops were there in seconds and the Vale lads were quickly saying it was Leeds trouble makers starting on them in the home section.I pulled a copper to one side and said look I'm a local lad, implying I was Vale I then told him the Leeds fans were bothering no one when the Vale lads started on them. The Vale fans got escorted out and the Leeds lads thanked me,wish I could have told them I was Leeds, but never had chance to.
Some funnies too looking back. Well-known young troublemaker was stopped in the street by the army in Armagh about 1977. "Have you got a police record?" "Yeah, Walking on the moon." Allegedly.
Adam Johnson is set to be released from Prison imminently! The 31yo has served 3 out of a 6 year prison term for sexually abusing a 15yo over a 2 / 3 week period. Opinions please: Johnson deserves to rot in jail for abusing a child. or Johnson had a kiss and a fumble with a female that had she been 6 months older, would have been legal - it was blown out of all proportion! He has served his sentence - should he be allowed to resume his footballing career?
Was at a Germany v Scotland match in Dortmund. We were in mixed fanzone & mate was getting a round in. 2 German guys started getting really aggressive with each other & were just short of going to blows. I stepped in between them & immediately thought it was a mistake. They were each a head taller than me, & built! There was a moment of stunned silence as they realised that a little fat white-haired Jock in full regalia had had the audacity to step in between them. I started laughing (it was nerves, I realised I was sh1tting myself), and taking advantage of the silence, I talked them down successfully. Barstewards should have bought me a pint, but they didn't. Think it was probably evident that I'd had enough anyway. It was only when I went back to my spot that I looked back & realised that there was a fairly large crowd with each guy. It could all have kicked off & I could have been mincemeat. Never again.
Bristol keeper had worst performances last season than Felix, so shoot from anywhere chaps Shock: Adam Johnson signs for Leeds on a pre contract basis.
If I'm absolutely honest, I have lots of sympathy for the guy. A 15yo these days is as mature as a 25yo when I was a lad. I'm quite serious - and they look much older too, given the way they dress & slap on the makeup. He also prolly met her at a nightclub, as many in this situation do, so where do the parents figure in this - most certainly not on the moral high ground imo. Then there's his sentence. He was used as a high profile example. Loads of *****s get off. Absolutely loads. I also read in the Daily Record this week of the guy convicted of slashing another guy's throat - several times. Reason? He was going out with the slasher's ex. Result? 7 years for attempted murder. There's no sense to 'justice' these days. Don't get me wrong, I don't approve. It was so easily avoidable, and unfairly punished imo.
I don't remember the details of the case. Did he really know her age? I'd jail the parents too for letting her get in that situation. Bet she wasn't wearing a twinset & brogues!
So Norwich get a home tie on a Friday, then don't play until the Wednesday, another home tie. We play a day later and then have to travel away for a game on Tuesday. How come we do't get to play on the Wednesday to even up the break in between games, given also ours includes away travel!
Agree about what he knew matters,if he thought she was older, then he's done his time,if he knew her age,he will always be a perv and should be treated that way.
Only comment I would make, should have been given 12 years and then halved to 6 instead of 6 years halved to 3
