Good Morning Everyone Matthew Pennington is set to come back to Leeds Utd on a season long loan. Bielsa has let it be known that he is happy with Jansson and Cooper at centre back, but would like Pennington as a squad player. 6ft 1 Pennington would certainly add more height to our defence. Thoughts? Simon Grayson has been speaking to BBC 5 Live about Leeds promotion hopes:- “I go back to Leeds quite a lot and I speak to a lot of friends who are really excited about his appointment, but they are still wary that this could go one way or the other,” he said. “This could go like the Wolves model did last year and it becomes a huge success and Leeds are back in the Premier League where everybody in the city wants them to be. Or it could go horribly wrong and he [Marcelo Bielsa] walks out and leaves the club. “This season they’ve invested more money than they ever have done probably since the Premier League days, and that’s why it could go one way or the other.” Accoding to the media, Leeds are preparing an 8m offer for Citeh versatile defender Jason Denayer. Galatasaray have been closely linked with the 23 yo this summer as they look to re-sign him on a season-long loan. Denayer spent last season with the murdering bastwards, helping them lift their 21st Turkish Super Lig title. However, Bielsa's relationship with Pep (first name terms) wil certainly help our cause. Danayer would be a massive coup for us. He's easily as good as Jansson.
Morning all Pennington would put an end to the pursuit of Denayer surely. I know who I would prefer and I haven't seen Denayer. kick a ball!
Good morning Matt If Bielsa has made it known that he is happy with Cooper & he intends to bring back peg-leg Pennington why would we be interested in signing Deneyar who actually seem a cut above peg-leg & captain chaos imo !
Mods: Now there are 3 of you actively working (the other lazy fecker should have been sacked years ago) I have a question. If you have someone has you on ignore am I right that not only can't you see their posts but you cant see any threads they start? Something curious happened this morning and I am confused.
Morning all.. Guess we have to trust Bielsa and hope he sees something he can work with. More of a concern for me is Bielsa is looking to add a squad player rather than better than Cooper, I’d prefer Berardi at CB than Pennington on last years showing.
Either... A) Bielsa and his tactics and formation are going to bring the best out of Cooper and we’re going to see a new man B) Bielsa has seriously under estimated this division and we’re in for a big problem. Luckily we should have some money left in the kitty and another few days to urgently bring someone in should it go tits up on Sunday
If your logged out you will see everything. I assume they shouldnt be able to see a thread if they have you on ignore. I'll find out.
Your understanding is the same as mine based on the one person I have on ignore. I would imagine they start the odd right wing conspiracy thread and I see none.
Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey I have seen Pennington and although he is tall you would think he was 5 foot way he jumps .I think we are sadly going to make another mistake like Sacko lets hope he goes to Wigan as he will get more game time and if Bielsa thinks t hat Calamity is good enough he needs to go to specsavers Looks like Wood is heading to Swansea unfortunately Are we really going to spend £8m on the City CB now that would be a statement of intent.' I see that Stoke have now bought Ashley Williams from Everton a good player but age as caught up with him Lets see what today bringsas I believe anyone signed today could play on Sunday
Morning Leon, Pennington is just back up. The only thing I can think of is Bielsa is playing his cards close to his chest. In the past we would get to hear about transfers, days, if not weeks before they happened. This channel has been firmly cut off. Not even Phil Hay is able to predict a signing until things are signed, sealed and delivered. There's more going on behind the scenes then any of us know about. please log in to view this image
Morning ristac, Phil Hay was saying last night that certain players would have to up their game from this time last season. The thing is, these players UNDERachieved last season, and surely with the right coaching / mentor their levels of performance will be higher now...
