    Good Morning Everyone

Chelsea starlet Izzy Bown has put pen to paper and signed on a season long loan.

Leeds do not have the option to snap Brown up on a permanent deal at the end of his tenure, but who knows - a lot can happen between now and the end of the season.

The versatile 21yo can play as a midfielder, winger or forward.

He spent last season on loan at Brighton, but was ruled out of the second half of the season having suffered cruciate ligament damage.

He has only just returned to training a fortnight ago.

It's going to be a good month until Brown's fitness is up to scratch.

I can't think of many (if any) Championship clubs that wouldn't have given their right arm to have Brown in their squad, yet many fans are unhappy not having the option to sign the youngster on a permanent deal following his loan.

    Thoughts?

Leeds have until 5pm today to finalise any last minute loans. One name that has been mentioned is Wolves Captain Danny Batth.

The 6ft 3in no nonsense central defender is out of favour at Molyneux.

    Thoughts?

Leeds have signed 16 year old Norwegian striker Niklas Haugland on a two-year scholarship contract.

The attacker will link up with the Leeds Under-18s after sealing the transfer from Norwegian third-tier outfit Fana IL.

The youngster is very highly rated, and has spent time training with Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Red Bull Salzburg.

Would you now say Leeds are the biggest club in Yorkshire, or should I ask that question against at 9.30 this evening?

Morning Ell. I reckon you should wait until later tonight to ask that sort of question. I'm reasonably confident we can bounce back but still going to be very nervy.

Leeds are firm favourites tonight at 6/5. (More or less evens)

    Boro at 5/2 (2 and a 1/2 to 1)

    Morning El, morning all <ok>

It would be a coupe if we sign Batth and although the squad will be light (the way Bielsa likes it) we look solid and id fancy our chances at auto

    Morning all.

I would always say that Leeds are the biggest club in Yorkshire although I wouldn't want to upset our dog bothering cousins by reminding them of that fact.

    Morning Matt and all.

Brown is a talent that's for sure, we dont know how he will fair after the injury. But to harp on again, this loan system is wrong, he's a Chelsea player, and as only played 11 minutes for them since they signed him from West Brom, as a 17 yr old, we will be the fifth team they've loaned him to. Chelsea are exploiting the loan system and imo to the detriment of players developement and also to the detriment of the national team, loan to buy are acceptable but loan to increase the value of sale is wrong and we're one of many that are pandering to it, not as though Baker and Blackman have improved us, rather see some of our U23's moved up the ranks.

We need a CB, definitely in my and many others opinions and Baath seems to tick all the boxes, having played with Douglas is a bonus.

We will go up and we will buy him. Remember what Radz said about following the Wolves model? :1980_boogie_down:

Good Morning to the sheriff Matt and his posse from a sunny but cool Bardsey
Well we have a real player on board and I can't wait to see him play having watched him play for Town several times 2 seasons ago and whats more we are not paying a penny for his loan fee and will not pay his wages until he plays unfortunately their is no agreement to buy him at the end of his loan period
As the sheriff said we have signed Niklas Haugland on a 2 year scholarship apparently he was well sought afterBusiness today Batth has been mentioned but I think he will go to Wednesday and Yarim Ben El Mharki what a mouthful that is will probably sign for Brentford who seem to get the best out of Youngsters
Tonights game Braithwaite as I reported yesterday wants to go to Spain another of Monks signings for 9m so he doesn't want to playOH Dear
I watched the game last week and they are like all Pulis teams strong tall and are good at set pieces with Flint a constant menace but we can exploit there weakness which is swift counter attack with Ayala what a dirty player he is always ready to lunge in and wrestle in the box so perhaps to combat set pieces don't give silly free kicks away in the last 35 yards and replace Beradi with Cooper who is taller
Finally we are the biggest team in Yorkshire after tonight as Boro are now in Teeside and we get the biggest crowds as well

You say they are exploiting it, but how many players do we have out on loan at the moment? The answer is a lot.

Real clash of footballing philosophies tonight. Can bielsas fluid movement and press style run rings round Boro’s big lump centre halves or will we get bullied and done on set pieces and route one as we were countless times last season by the sides playing traditional English football. Be fascinating to find out... I see this as a real pointer to how our season will go.

Morning Bucks, what Bielsa has done in a short amount of time is incredible. Who would have thought he could have the same players as last season performing how they are. Perhaps Orta does know what he's on about after all!

Morning all. ...happy we've got izzy brown if only for this season. Would be happier still if we got the Wolves centre back in as well. I'm a bit apprehensive about tonight's game but hoping for a performance & 3 points.MOT

    Morning all

To look at the issues of the loan system, there are 2 models: 1) The Leeds model which uses limited resources to improve young players by sending them out on loan. The idea is that they come back at some stage and go into the first team squad. It also allows the club to look at their progression/improvement and if there isnt much, move them on. 2) The Chelsea model hoovers up young talented kids from around Europe/world as a business within the club. There are not enough places within the development teams, so kids are sent out on loan and most are then sold on for profit. At the moment Chelsea have 59 players out on loan and within that there are some gems. Remember Jose' signed Lukaku for Chelsea and sent him out on loan and the kid never even put a Chelsea shirt on but topped the Prem scoring league at clubs like Everton before signing for Scum. Sturridge was another loanee. This business model hoovers up the best and stops other prem clubs from signing them hence the reason Chelsea have so many. It makes them a profit.

Pulis isnt happy with Braithwaite which means there will be some upset within the dressing room. Leeds 60 mentioned the typical Pulis team of tall players who can muscle and bustle opposition. They dont do pretty footy so expect to see the battle of the tacticians tonight. The hoofer and the maestro, who comes out on top who knows, but this is the sort of championship game everyone was worried about when we got Bielsa because he has no experience of this league. I expect the hoofer to be sulking at the end and bow at the feet of the maestro

Danny Baath cannot get a game again this season for Wolves which means he isnt good enough for us. If we took him he wouldn't be a regular and I say this because he couldnt hold down a place in last seasons Wolves team, unlike Douglas who was flying all season. So let him go back to the wendies
