Good Morning Everyone Ayling and De Bock are both back in training after their respective injuries according to Heckingbottom “Touch wood, everything has been fine, it has been nice to have him there and nice to have his voice on the training ground and I know he is delighted just to be back training because it’s been a long road back for him. “We’ve had him and Bocky back in for the last couple of days.” Asked if either Ayling or De Bock could feature tomorrow Heckingbottom reasoned: “We’ll have to see. It’s a big ask when you are just thrown in and you have had two days training. They are probably a bit away from it.” How much have we missed Ayling? Heckingbottom also spoke out about Saiz' outburst following being substituted last weekend "We obviously don't want that, he knows that," "Nobody is bigger than the team, including me, no players. It's all about the team. No player is better than any other player and no player deserves to be on the pitch over any other player unless they perform. "That's what we want to try and get across to everyone. It's not about yourself when you're on there, it's not about yourself when you're on the training pitch, it's about doing your role for the team and understanding that you win together and you lose together." According to social media Sam Dalby should be the latest younster to get a Senior call up. The 18-year-was signed from non-league Leyton Orient in the January window for a fee of around £250,000. His scoring rate has been an average of a goal a game. Should he get his chance?
Ayling had a great season last year, this one he was hit and miss, when he comes back hopefully it will be the player we saw last year. Jury still out on De Bock/ We need players to be showing disappointment at coming off, it shows they care. Dalby definitely needs to be given a chance, half an hour against Norwich and start against QPR
Morning all There are 2 Aylings, the one we had last season playing in a settled back 4 doing a set role. The Ayling we got this season started off well as the team were winning, but part of the defensive problems we had was when Ayling thought he was Zico and was further forward than Roofe or Lassoga. I also want to see LDB back as he started well too but got infected by the rest and died. We have 4 great strikers with potential and if you remember it was Thomas who was raving about Jack Clarke and even said he may play him. He brought him into the first team fold etc. Clarke is still playing well and scores but seems to have made more goals than scored recently. Its also highlighted Ryan Edmondson, Michuca and Sam Dalby. Perm any 1 of 4 as these kids will be prominent in pre-season and expect to see them playing in Myanmar. I think we will see at least 2 of these kids in our last 2 games
Good Morning to matt and co from a dull Bardsey I am all for bringing in Youngsters and now is the time to do it with nothing to play for so Clarke Dolby take your chance you can't be worse than Grimes lets face it Rumour has it we are after Ashley Fletcher well he's not worth 500k in my view Boro were stupid to pay £6.5m for him he has scored 1 goal all season swap him for Grot
Is the jury really out on De Bock? I saw him play a couple of good 20 mins but then he appeared to switch off and go walk about. I haven't seen him live though so I'm interested in other opinions Disappointment is one thing but petulance I can do ! Evening by the way to all and Ell
I didn’t I accept de Bock could suddenly find his form and become a class lb and I’d be looking stupid. But it’s about as likely as me losing 50 pounds weight.
Morning Gessa. Ayling has a good engine. Not the most gifted of players, back makes up for it in the ground he covers imo.
Morning doc. I loved Sterland. Loved his free kicks too. I wonder whether Ayling was told to play as a wing back? With Coyle coming back from Fleetwood, perhaps Ayling will be pushed up to midfield
Morning Mike. Grot has a great look to him. I'd send him out on loan to tough it out in league 2. Fletcher has his chance TWICE, and rejected us so sod him.
