Agree, it the same players getting injuries, Ayling (and last season) and Berardi. Suggest it's the players not the training.

It's not just them getting injured, they are all long term serious injuries for some reason

Billy must be turning in his grave. Back in his era(as well you know) the squad was smaller, the pitches were mud, there wasn't all this diet/science crap and you could tackle. But yet there weren't as many injuries.

Ayling was long-term last season as well and, the memory might be playing tricks. but didn't Berardi miss a few before Bielsa joined?

They had just as many injuries shaks, but played regardless. Nobody had heard of an acl... it was just a knee twinge. Leg amputation? Just a scratch. That torn hamstring giving you a bit of jip in the first half? Nothing a couple of pints and a few John Player Specials at half time couldn’t take the edge off,

best football teams in the world play similar Bielsaball which means man Citys teams under Pep train exactly the same way as its fast positional interchange possession attacking football. Difference being better quality players. Barcelona, Bayern Munich under Pep too. Liverpool and Spuds play similar style too and none of these teams seems to have loads of abnormal out of the ordinary injuries. We're unfortunate having 3 players with bad knee injuries but only Bamford got his playing for Leeds, the other 2 were at their loan clubs and neither spent any time training under Bielsa, but Ideguchi had one week. If anything wrong with the regime maybe its the diet I dont know, but it seems we cover most bases now.

None of us can know but lazy journalism and ex average players jumping on a bandwagon only inflames things.

Yep agree, none us know. Athletes that are flogged without sufficient recovery are more prone to pick up injury. Bielsa is actually very big on recovery... hence the afternoon siestas etc. The point is that all teams want an edge, professional fitness coaches are always pushing the boundaries and some sail closer to the wind than others re fitness.

Warnock was a decent professional footballer who picked up his share of injuries. He hasn’t worked under bielsa and I don’t know how familiar he is with our training. But he does have first hand experience of the championship and is entitled to his opinion... which probably counts for at least as much as those of a bunch of internet warriors.<laugh>

I see Foyth demonstrated his desire to come to Leeds by giving a couple of penalties away to remove himself from Spurs plans doc. Cunning.

“Just as many injuries, played on....” Dallas took a ball to the head and looked dazed today, bloke on sky commented how in the good old days they’d have given him a whiff of smelling salts...

I remember a bit like the “magic wet sponge” the smelling salts bottle used to be whipped out at every opportunity, it’s one of those things when you think “when did it all change?”
