    Good Morning Everyone

The transfer window has slammed shut for 2018, and Bielsa was not tempted to bring in any new permanent recruits.

There is certainly a trend of more outgoings then incomings. Surely there will be a lot of nervous professional footballers not knowing whether their futures are secure. Worst bit of business this transfer window is Saints agreeing to pay Victimpool 18m for Danny Ings after his season long loan - what are they thinking?

    Morning all..

Slightly surprised we never landed another CB and feel the Pennington loan is now looking like a nailed on cert. I thought someone might come in and snap up O’Kane and Ekuban, disappointed they never although I guess an overseas move for Ekuban could still be on the cards.

The entire transfer day deadline thing seemed a bit of a damp squid compared to previous years, even the big hitters in the PL had a pretty quiet time, not just yesterday but the entire window.

Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey
First of all I don't know about you but I feel let down by AR he said the money from season tickets sales would be used to strengthen the squad and the money from San Francisco £10m would be used as well .Well to my way of fag packet calculations we have spent £3m I think we deserve an explaination don't you
On your list O wise one you have omitted Murphy going to Bolton and Marcus Maddison going to Leicester from Norwich
We still need a CB Chalker would have been ideal and Norwood a steal can these be still be obtained I wonder
Sorry if I sound unhappy but I don't like this type of leading fans on we have suffered enough!

    Morning Leeds60

I think it depends on targets, we seemed to have wasted a lot of time on Vydra and the Plan B seemed to keep being too costly until we finally pulled the trigure on Bamford. I’m happy we brought in quality over quantity, part of me feels we should have spent more, the other side reminds me of Bates and Cellino, they would have pocketed the entire lot and if lucky bring in a player costing £1m the rest aging free agents. Maybe Bielsa was presented with a couple of options and shook his head?

Bielsa wouldn’t have come cheaply he brought in five backroom staff listed here https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co...eeds-united-backroom-staff-revealed-1-9211028 and prior to that we snapped up Rob Price from Hull City who has a very good CV

I think the thing to remind ourselves, in the space of a very short time the backroom and coaching staff has made a bunch of relegation fodder look like promotion contenders, I know it’s only one game but when you consider all but one of our new signings were on the bench it was pretty special.

I’m hoping it’s better than him but... If Bielsa is the one asking for him should we ignore him?

If Pennington joins it surely has to be at the request of Bielsa? If Bielsa watched every game of ours from last season as has been reported then he must have seen something he liked.

We had a lot of players who looked like new signings last Sunday, before a ball was kicked I could have easily replaced 3-4 of our starting 11 so I’m glad it wasn’t down to me ;)

Like the quality of the IN list, but think we are in need of at least 2 more

The OUT list is long and happy with that (only good names are young loanees going for experience), and Vieira the only real regret.

Morning all. I would prefer Bielsa choosing which players he needs rather than supporters, he seems to know what he is doing.

Pennington is still very young for a Centre Half and, amongst quite a few bloopers (to be expected at his age), also showed glimpses of class and strength. Wouldn’t frighten me if he came back but probably Caulker (or Chalker as Mike calls him) would be more of a promotion chasing signing. Don’t think Caulker can happen now unless it’s a loan with agreed purchase in January because what would Dundee gain by loaning out a free signing unless the player agitates for a move?

Morning all by the way :emoticon-0148-yes: OSD, stop peeping and join in, your contributions are always good :emoticon-0148-yes:

True but he was consulted and gave an opinion, I’d imagine he agreed under protest so to speak? Rads said something along the lines of “unfortunately the only offer was for Vieira” so my guess is they were hoping to raise the funds with O’Kane and Ekuban?

When Dallas came on for Klich it threw us out of shape a little, I’m expecting Forshaw to be battling for that spot, Vieira would have probably been the one to replace Klich? That’s another point, Klich really is like a new signing too.

When O’Kane first joined, I thought he looked great, I’m surprised there is nothing for Bielsa to work with on that front.

I agree but giving an opinion and calling the shots re signings would be two very different things imo. I dont mind if it works though

I don’t believe for a minute Bielsa gives over a transfer target. I’d imagine he tells Orta he needs a midfielder who can do..... Bielsa comes back with a target or two, Bielsa watches some footage and says yes or no.

Could explain the rumours, maybe Caulker would have been signed by Orta, maybe his availability was scouted but Bielsa said nope. I’m usually the first to scream when I believe coaches are not getting a say, I just feel it’s very different this time.

    Good morning all
Ristacs right,if anyone feels let down by the transfer window, read ristacs last paragraph, also remember the spine of the team have yet to play,it's all looking pretty good from where i'm sitting, also just think even manure fans unhappy about transfer window, so not even going to please all the fans all of the time, only do your best with what's sensibly available. One things for sure the club is now on an even keel, from players/management to the finances, the club itself hasn't in my opinion looked as healthy in a very long time, and this is down mostly to radz, realy looking forward to what's to come, and my guess would be the good times.

Morning Mike, I'd say the wage bill has probably doubled. Bielsa is on 40k a week, Bamford either 32 or 35k and the Chelsea loanees won't be cheap either.

This time last year our highest earner was on 15k a week.

We've been careful with our money I'd say...
