BBMs messenger was used to start the Manchester âriotsâ (lets be honest, it wasnât a riot over justice, it was profiteering little ****s who think they can get away with robbing stuff â Little ********s!) Last night, it was apparently tried in Leeds to meet in Town Centre at 8pm via the BBM networking on Blackberryâs. It obviously didnât really kick off although there is reports of a few shops windows smashed but nothing significant. I swear to ****ing Lucifer them ****s need battering, and not to pick on little teenager kids and robb from there backpacks, not to attack the vulnerable but to start on the people who will give them grief. But will they? Will they **** cos they are wimps, pussies and scared of getting a battering. There's actually a campaign online to do something special for that lad who got beaten/robbed as a sort of 'sorry our country's full of nobheads' gesture. His name's Ashraf apparently and he's a Malaysian student. Poor fella.

These riots are embarassing. What are other countries gonna think of us? Especially seeing as the Olympics are coming up. The US has actually put us on the Travel watch lists to warn their citizens not to travel here - the other countries on there are like Somalia and places. I hate people that try to justify it with the 'social economic' bollocks. You live in London, one of the biggest employment opportunities in the developed world. If you can afford a Blackberry smart phone, you can't try and justify your actions by claiming it's because you're poor and there's no jobs. The police have been given permision to use their batons now, hopefully these wannabe gangsters will experience what it's been like for everyone else.
The reason it hasn't kicked off in Leeds is the reason why Leeds never gets any funding from the government or even much outside investment in its football club. It has it's problems like any major city but it's a generally a pleasant environment.
Leeds is one of the two cities labelled as a major hope for the country's economic recovery, I think it's more like Clivetime says than it being due to our coppers. The country should look to us as an example of how to operate. If people wanted to kick off in Chapeltown, Gipton and Harehills, it would have happened.

There was a peace march through Chapelwotn last night, that is the sort of spirit we have up here, we wont put up with the scum and thats the difference.
there's been unrest in chapeltown, but it's due to gang wars. The original incident that caused it happened before the rioting in london started as far as I'm aware. Then there was a revenge shooting a couple of days ago. That's probably right, I just like taking pride in how badass our city is, and the WY Police are part of that badassery.

Our city is so badass, it doesn't just comply with the national crazes that the Mancs and Cockneys try to promulgate. Good on Leeds. I tend to think WYP are titheads though.
They are ranked as one of the better police forces in the country. Better than the Met and most certainly better than the GMP.
