How times have changed from years ago When any team at all, You care to name, in any league Would have both short and tall, To spearhead their attacks and know That on them you could call, The little and large striking partnership Maybe the extreme example Of such a striking pair, In size and stature could be found Down in the south coast air, Where Crouch and Defoe for Pompey Made folk stand up and stare, The little and large striking partnership And Liverpool in olden days Also made quite a name, For themselves on the striking front Joining in with the game, First Toshack alongside Keegan Then Heskey, Owen came, The little and large striking partnership And who can´t remember Zola And one Tore André Flo, A partnership which on its day Really made Chelsea go, And that despite playing a game Which all defences know, The little and large striking partnership One of our own, young Bellamy When linking up with Toon, Joined with one Mr. A Shearer A duo that would bloom, And before long the goals would make Even those Geordies swoon, The little and large striking partnership We´ve had our own needless to say Perhaps the best to date, Was R. Rosario and Fleck His little Scottish mate, The one would invariably Lay t´other on a plate, The little and large striking partnership But now of course the emphasis These days, has turned around, Hardly any now find the need For two strikers to hound, And so that lopsided era Has fallen to the ground, The little and large striking partnership.
Very true Kent, I´m sure there are plenty more, these were just what immediately popped into mind - Niall Quinn and Kevin Phillips weren´t bad either.
Out in the car a few weeks ago I had to take a deep breath and count to 10... sat behind a BMW with the number plate: MUSC4T
Agreed, although MacDougall wasn´t all that big, and Boyer wasn´t all that small. I have it on good authority ( Canary Citizens) that Boyer was 5´8" and MacDougall was 5´10" .
Was thinking of mentioning them Hairy, but just couldn´t remember quite how much they played together.
I think MacDougall and Boyer was our best ever partnership irrespective of the little and large criteria. League wise, Toshack and Keegan take the plaudits for me closely followed by Dalglish and Rush
tbh I don't know, but they were both bustling, get stuck in types who laid the ball off for each other, they were interchangeable in a way! Edit:- I just checked, Shearer is 6' 0" and Sutton is 6' 3" 2nd edit:- Sutton has got six (6) children! About time they got a television!
Obviously children start at a smaller number before you have the actual number and then the written in full word. With footy scores it is normally starting with 7 (seven)
I've had a load of teeth out today and an interim denture fitted and I'm in agony, that's my excuse for not understanding what the hell you're talking about!
Thought you only had two to start with.
