seemed like a quick over night decision to me... I mean, no drawn out negotiations, no deliberating, no rumours; one minute nothing, next minute we've spent £12M
Le Tiss is a legend, but he does have an axe to grind with NC. Le Tiss could well have been in NC seat is the other bid for the takeover of Saints went ahead, which thankfully it did not or we could have been another Coventry. NA is in control of the team, he may have made some decisions that we as laymen do not understand- like starting with Rickie on the subs bench against Man C, but that almost turnrd into a tactical masterplan. NA has also impressed me with a ruthless streak, who predicted here that Kelvin would be dropped after 4 games- unthinkable at the beginning of the season, who would have predicted that our joint best player would be that pain in the arse good for nothing Puncheon. Im sure Ramirez was NC idea as I find it hard that NA would ask for 15 million for one player, he was probably looking at Championship players but nothing came through. I have complete trust and faith in these two guys
You could see how excited Nigel was in the deadline day interview about Ramirez. I would imagine he had some input in that signing. (as well as all the others, obvs).
Adkins picks the team. He was trying something different against Man City. He knows Ricky will rarely finish a game in the PL and he wanted him to have a chance against a tiring City side. It nearly came off. I can't see Nicola dropping Lambert...a brave plan and not one a person with no footballing background would even consider. I'm sure Nigel is happy with Ramirez...he positively drools about him. He probably wanted defenders as well, but that didn't come off. Nigel said on Sunday that he has a good relationship with Cortese...I believe him because otherwise he would have said nothing.

I agree with this even though on a personal level I am annoyed with NC and or his secretary.
