I know i shouldn’t, but i do listen to the legends. Mainly cos i like to hear the whinging mackems on how they think Sty-eeve Bar-oose should be sacked and they should get in Louis Van Gaal (obviously when he finds where the ****hole is).

Anyway, why is it they are so out of touch? They're supposed to be media pundits but none of them have an effing clue whats going on at the clubs they're talking about. Supermac (the only REAL legend on there) just guesses half the time. Are they not on the edge of the football grapevine, are they not at the pinnacle of footballing knowledge?

For example, tonight some old dear asks where is Stephen Ireland? Why is he not playing? Supermac - "I dont know.", "though i read in the Chronicle a couple of weeks back that Pardew wants to sign him permanently". <doh> Now anyone who reads well, any football gen will know Stephen Ireland has been fit since the before the Villa game but couldn’t play against his parent club and that he will play on Tuesday - yes? Not Supermac, who writes for the Chronicle! Strewth.

    Anyway rant over. :)

Not specific to Legends, but why do the local papers think Stephen Ireland is a winger? I've lost count of the times he's been called one despite clearly being a CM/AM.

Malcolm MacDonald is a joke, and while he is the Newcastle representative on that programme I can't take it seriously.

Most pundits get worked based on what they did as a player rather than what they know about football. Retired players with brains, charisma and tactical nous go into management, that's why pundits have none of these and we all get pissed off with their inept comments and analyses.
