I think we are vulnerable in the left back position, and to think we relied on young Kieran Gibbs is unthinkable for a big club like Arsenal, Wenger need to sign experienced players now to cover all the weaken position in the team. For what I know most games are won from the bench not your first eleven on the pitch.
That has been the problem with Wenger. Having faith in these players to the detriment of the team, but when the likes of Man city comes these same players never think twice before joining other team either for money or success.
He should have got Jose Enrique while he could. At £8m or so he would have been a great replacement for Clichy. All I can see now is Leighton Baines. If arsenal sign Leighton baines I will be thrilled, but we won't, will we?
Leighton Baines would be good signing. I'm not convinced by Gibbs, he's defensively too weak. I also don't rate Traore highly, but maybe that year in Italy did help him defensively. Another way could be to buy another cb (like Cahill) and play the new CB with Djourou/Koscielny in the middle and play Vermaelen at left-back. He played that at Ajax sometimes and also for the Belgium team.
