Long time reader, first time poster so I'll try to keep this short.
Firstly my two cents on NP,
Good luck because your going to need it. And I really hope he's thought this through, granted, an offer to vastly increase your wages plus bonus is something that would turn anyones head in any profession. The subject of loyalty in football works both ways, clubs are so easy to sack a manager these days, seems 10 games is the trigger point, so why would a manager not simply try and get as much money as they possible could in the shortest space of time? Not to mention he probably didnt want to come to Hull, he was just desperate to leave Leicester under that regime at the time, and we offered him a contract at the right time.
For me, the only way this football club can move forward is to appoint a young manager who will work with the youth at the club to build a crop of good players for years to come. Rather than giving big name has-beens a final payday in hope they can get us in the Premiership.
Lastly, I dont think any of the players will follow NP out, I think they would find it very hard to trust a manager who has pretty much walked out on them, and a good shot at getting a young team promoted. But then again, if the moneys good who would blame them?

I actually agree with most of what you have posted, as I have said on other posts before, if NP said to the players that he was going no where, and then went, they probably feel let down. I hope that will be enough to stimulate them, to show NP, OK we can do without you. Hopefully this will give Nick Barmby the edge he needs, to get the right reaction from the team.

I think the way NP is leaving the club will spur the players on to perform under Nick but I also believe that if NP came in for our players with good money then they will follow him to Leicester

I'm not denying it. Just saying it's silly, where does the f come from? Language never makes sense mind.

It's all part of the joy of being English <laugh>

(English, as opposed to being British - as we are talking about the English language)

But that's what makes it so good. We have developed a language that is so complex that it's almost like a code that can be used to flush out Johnny Foreigner in times of war etc.
