Norwich (A) 2-5 (Thanks Biscan) Stoke (H) 0-0 Reading (H) 1-0 Everton (A) 2-2 Newcastle (H) 1-1 Chelsea (A) 1-1 Wigan (H) 3-0 So, unbeaten in 7, 3 of which have been clean sheets. 13 goals scored, 6 conceded. Now positive goal different. Suarez PL top scorer. 13 points out of 21 (not too bad considering we played some tough games). All in all, it's starting to come together for us in the league, we're slowly climbing the table and in December we have some very winnable fixtures. Not bad considering our start.
We had a difficult start, City, United & Arsenal in our first 5 games and with a new manager/system/players it was always going to be difficult however since then we've done well, been hard to beat (in the league) and are playing some decent football. Everyone knew BR needed time and if we can carry on this sort of form (around 2 points per game) until January where we can strengthen then i'll be pleased. As long as we are arounf 6th place and 5-10 points from 4th then I'd feel it would have been a good start for us. P.S it was norwich we beat 5-2 now Reading
I just hope we can keep winning! We're inconsistant and badly need a few signings. Things are looking up though!
last 6 games we are 4th in the premier league form guide with 10 points and not that it means anything but just to note that everton are 13th.
Everton are over-rated. We'll twat them at Anfield and finish above them. Their already bottling it and hitting the skids. They don't have the bottle to finish above us, just like Spurs are too chicken **** to finish above Spurs. Both of those nothing clubs will always be in their more illustrious and successful neighbours shadows.
Should've been 4 wins aswell if the linesman didn't cock up in the game against Everton. We would be level with Spurs then and in a very strong position. Still, we are doing alright at the moment even though we are a work in progress and we are very inconsistent at present and I imagine there would be much less positivity regarding our team if we were talking about our progress at half time. Once we can (or if) start playing at the level we are showing glimpses of consistently for 90 minutes then we'll really be a team for the league to fear. I guess that won't happen until Rodgers gets the players he wants in the team in the attacking areas (+ the return of Lucas).
yes an improvement. 1. look at who we beat. not precisely the best eh? 2. look at the games we actually should have won but threw away. everton, stoke, newkie. the picture could be and really should be better. 3. we are holding our own against the real top 4 sides which is good. lets be frank here, the spuds are now only 2 points away. i think AVB is a disaster for them and failure to get CL football has done for them. Arsenal are poor enough and newcastle have finally been found out. it took longer than predicted but they have found their true level..... west brom are build on clarkes defensive mindedness and frankly christmas will do for them. Everton look good but are as per just an english type side with baines lumping it in 20 times a game with pienaar and hoping some stick. (like bale and adebayor last year) that works for some games but they are also inconsistent and not great away. All in all we must say the standard i nthe english prem has dropped significantly. If only we had a sugar daddy eh?
we will improve with additions to the squad. but this is holding spurs to a impossible standard even city can finish higher than themselves
Erm..... no it's not, we are already in 11th place and looking like we will improve on this. Is anyone really happy with this? probably not but at least give credit for the positives and enjoy when the team plays well. Your burning resentment about rafa and kenny going ( i wasn't happy either) is making you sound like one of our bitter brothers from across the park.
I wonder if MFG will hold his hands up and say he was wrong should Rodgers prove to be successful? I certainly will should MFG turns out to be right but its easier to be negative than positive
Why don't you give up on football if it is such a ****ing chore? Oh what a shame we won yesterday, must have really made it hard for you to spout your anti Rodgers bullshit.
MFG would rather see us relegated rather than be proved wrong. Hate that type of fan, infact I don't think you can call him a fan/supporter.
