Sorry guys, I can't provide you with any THFC6061-esque stats. So nice and simple: Tottenham Hotspur‏: Here's our team - Lloris; Walker, Fryers, Livermore, Rose; Dembele, Parker; Lennon, Chadli, Sigurdsson; Defoe. #THFC And our subs at Monaco - Friedel, Naughton, Stewart, Bentaleb, Carroll, Huddlestone, Townsend, Kane. #THFC Monaco: Monaco team: Subasic, Raggi, Kurzawa, Carvalho, Abidal, Toulalan, Obbadi, Moutinho, Carrasco, James, Falcao. Monaco subs - Tavares, Ocampos, Isimat-Mirin, Ndinga, Tisserand. Looks like Daws is being wrapped in cotton wool. God help Zeki and Jake if Falcao starts!!! Courtesy of Wandering Yid: They played for both: Adebayor Gudjohnsen Hoddle Klinsmann
As I said elsewhere, the real interest is how long it takes ITV's boneheads to stop speculating about Bale and start commentating on the match. ...and how long it takes Amazon to deliver a new TV. Also, Hoddle and Klinsmann played for both clubs.
Fryers and Livermore at centre-half? Oh, dear. I wonder if Kaboul is going to play any part in this season? He's been in training, but it seems he's still not ready for a friendly run out. Not looking good. Shouldn't kept Caulker. Edit: No Adebayor, Assou-Ekotto or Holtby.
Though jokes aside, what an opportunity for Fryers (more so than Jake) to show his worth. He's been used as a CB for most of pre-season, so if he wants to show AVB he's ready for first team football, there's not going to be many better strikers he'll ever come up against than the one he's facing today.
So, no Paulinho, Soldado, Sandro, or Kaboul for us. Bale's absence aside, that's a lot of talent we have to come into the team!
Wow they opened the entire program with Bale speculation not a mention of the match. **** off ITV. Also this ditsy blonde woman is pissing me off already.
Ferdinand speaking as if Bale's already a goner too... God this is going to be stressful. May have to mute the commentary. Also mentioned Dawson has picked up a slight knock, oh the joys continue!
Bearing in mind the season starts in a couple of weeks, I'm a little surprised we aren't using this friendly and next week's to field the team that is likely to start the season. I get that we need squad rotation to prevent injuries, but have we seen anything at all from some of our senior players? I agree with PnP, the Kaboul situation is a little concerning. Good luck to Zeki tonight, I hope he has a blinder.
Why's Caulker not playing at centre back if we have so many injuries.... oh, sorry forgot. We just sold him!!! #LEVYFAIL
Has it ever been cleared up why Poyet was booted out of Brighton? Plenty of stories coming out of him being an arrogant **** (would mock players of they screwed up in training and then further humiliate them by doing it himself.... especially free-kicks). Also was a bit Redknapp-esque in the fact that if you weren't in his plans he would not talk to you. One first time player claims he hadn't spoken to him in 4 months!
