I'm really on the fence when it comes to this guy. Seems a lot of our fans are 50/50 too.

Kone has proven that he can be a great asset to the side with his defensive ability and earial prowess in the opposition box..... when he can be arsed to put a shift in!

He was bang average last season, doing the bare minimum in most games, but I'm wondering how much of a negative influence Moyes had in his self motivation.

I can't help but wonder if Simon Grayson can get the best out of him with his reported very good man management skills.

And of course there is the very real possibility that he'll be sold anyway, in which case, SG will be either be happy to scratch Kone off his motivational speach list, or he will be frustrated that another of his senior players has been shown the door to reduce the debt my a few million.

...and after all that, I'm still not sure whether I'd like him to stay or not <doh>

Overrated. I said at the time we should have took Evertons 18 million.

He's really static and slow on the turn. He also has a tendency to get the ball caught up in his feet. Not what's required of a center back.

Agreed, I also thought we were mental not to sell him last summer. We'll be lucky to get half that now imo

Doubt we'll get much more than £8m for him, which is a bit of a choker after we were offered £18m by Everton.

No good crying over spilled milk, mate.

The scumbag refused to play for the club, he's ****ing poisonous and needs to be gone. The club has been terrorised by self important and bang average players for far too long now.

The thing is, his reputation is quite good still. Teams think he's better than he actually is. We could probably still get 10m - 12m for him.

Yeah I think we should sell him, his mentality is the exact opposite of what we're looking for and he's nothing special ability wise. The bloke can't pass the ball more than a few metres with any accuracy, it's unbelievable.

Considering that and the fact he'd bring in a decent bit of money, get rid.

We need a new CB mind, urgently.

We should have had that Pontus Jannsen fella Leeds got, how they've got him on the championship I'll never know.

Oh yeah, showed some ****ing gnashers and ambition.

    Bollocks.

Thing with people like Kone is, even if Grayson does inspire him to perform at his best level it would only take one comment or perceived act of disrespect and he's going to spit his dummy out again and spread poison in the squad. We don't need that, nobody does.

I'd like to see us go after Tim Klose, at Norwich. He's showed he had ability in the premier league. A change might do him good.

Agree with this, but why not let Grayson decide? Maybe he comes good and honours the club. Maybe he's a **** who disgraces everything that the club stands for. Grayson is being paid to decide which, so let him do so, I say.
