I always thought that having a classy academy that the club has invested heavily in,was there to provide future watford players and make the club some money! The new rules have put paid to the second reason ! but Why is Mr Dyche putting paid to the first reason!
This week we have recalled Thommo (good move) Loaned out Dale (prob a good move as now he is so far down the pecking order Shame had pace and commitment!)
Bought in on Loan Craig Beatie from swansea ( lets give the lad a chance)
Bought in Nosworthy from sunderland (bad move) every side he plays for goes down!
Heidar ran him ragged against Sheff Utd! Gills and black cats dont rate him at all!
I can see players like Dale , Scott , Adam and others getting disallusioned and going elsewhere (hope I`m wrong) we have players like whichelow ,Massey ,Murray Mingoia not even getting a look in when we are crying out for a creative Mid!
cant wait till McGinn is fit again , but Sean prob wont play him as he is too young!
To get relegated but watching and developing our own kids I would accept!
To get relegated watching journeyman and people at end of career I would not accept!
Baz you are going to start losing gate income soon if this policy we are pursuing isnt reversed!
I an getting depressed that we have forgotten the urge to develop our kids ,play decent passing football that we have the last couple of seasons in all adversity!
I cant see with the brand of "football" that we are playing and the "manly" players brought in ,where our next win is coming from , Indeed I would be delighted to get a point at home against the Posh ! How times change!

Well said Norway, you are spot on. We need to play some of our juniors(not all)mix it up more. These youngsters were good enough last year,I still believe they are good enough now. Give Thompson,Mingoia,Whichelow a chance, they can turn our season around. SD if you don't start trying new tactics and using some academy players you will lose them but worse than that you'll lose a lot of fans....can Watford really afford that?<steam>

I totally agree with that. If we have to go down because previous managers have jumped ship and left us with a 4th choice then it is something we have to accept and learn to live with. However we invested in the Academy for precisley the reason that having little money we could develop our own players. When MM left we had some promising players and thy only needed to be "leavened" by a little outside experience - not a wholesale change of staff whch squashes our youngsters flat. The loan players are mostly dummies it seems
