As we all know, as Clegg couldn't fathom, is not to penny pinch but to build a buzz and momentum. I have to applaud Cardiff's owners. Against Brighton every Cardiff fan will receive a free Cardiff scarf and there'll be a giveaway to win season tickets for next season. A great idea and I'm sure the scarves will pay for themselves anyway with the extra bums on seats. Cardiff risked alienating their fans by changing colours but instead they're flying high and deservedly so.
Cant agree. i assume the only reason they are giving away free scarfs are the fact that they are RED and the majority of fans are still proudly displaying their BLUE ones. In addition as much as I think a lot of things Clegg has done are poor at least he hasnt tried to reinvent the clubs badge/ colours and identity
With FFP looming the only thing that will keep most clubs afloat will be penny pinching, it's probably the only thing Cleggy did do right for us. Whilst it made him unpopular I'm sure we are better off financially now than before he was brought in. Have to agree with TB about the reason for giving scarves away too.
