I'm not even going to try and spell his name It could be easily copied but I can't be arsed.

For me a keeper is most valubale in pressure situations and I can't see how you can demonstrate that in training i'll go out on a limb and say he's not going to get a contract, he failed to make any impact at Spurs and isn't wanted by his club in Russia would want a decent wage and offer no sell on value.

I have not seen it on here but why are so many folks wetting themselves over this guy?

Don't know much about hime to be honest and Lennon has said in the papers that Zaluska will start the season as No 1 as he now has the confidence to step up.

Only thing I can see is that they should probably have had "Stipe Qwertyu" on tour with them to see him in match action.

    Not confident at that ...

Think Celtic need to sort it out as soon as.

his agent said it's not a trial but an extended medical due to his dodgy cruciate.

Read the same as this plus he's frozen out in Russia because they have a limit on foreign players and the owner believes a foreign keeper is a waste of one foreign place in the team. He feels it better to go to an outfielder. Worrying though that he didn't get a game at spurs when Gomes ****ed up so often though!!
He was highly rated before the move to spurs though, and it wasn't performance that kept him out as he wasn't picked, so might be worth chucking into a friendly or two and seeing if he fits in with the squad. 82 caps for Croatia, though, so he's either alright or the have **** all else

Bilic keeps picking him for Croatia even though he's barely kicked a ball in 18 months. That must say something about the guy, I've seen him a few times for the Croatian team and he's a decent enough keeper. Definitely in terms of the SPL

Just on the issue of trials generally though it's ****ing pointless at Celtic. I can't remember the last person we had on trial and then went on to sign? I'm sure there may have been kids etc. But can't think of anyone? You lot think of any?

I would love to see Celtic offer £5m for Craig Gordon. For me he's still Scotland's best keeper.

Good keeper but was he not very injury-prone last season and isn't he injured at the moment? So, could be a risky buy if that remains the case?

Pletikosa is a crackin big keeper. Did well at Shaktar when he was there, and has always looked the part for Croatia. If his knee is fine, I'd get him signed. Gordon as much as i would like, is too expensive for us im afraid.

Saying that, Zaluska looked not bad last night. Couple of half decent saves, distribution was much better too.

  12. Pletikosa has played at two world cups and two European Championships.

I'm sure that, when Strachan said he was interested, Pletikosa made the right sort of noises about wanting to come.

My mate is half-Croatian and is raving about him - I think he's exactly what we need (even if it's only for one or two seasons)
