Is a disgrace, **** all to do with lack of sunlight, more to do with the pitch being unable to sustain football and rugby. Now we do have to share the stadium with our shell suit wearing rugger supporting brethren. However, we need to find a pitch that can handle football and rugby.

One pass across the 'grass' today, the ball started bouncing off all the divots, at which point I thought it could clear the stadium! Ground keeper(s) need to up their game!

God this is getting so boring now!! The pitch is not bad because of the rugby, look at Readings pitch and the share there ground with a union team and that cuts up the pitch more than league!

Im getting fed up with people like you that thinks the KC should just belong to City! If it was not for FC we would not have the KC so yes your right the pitch is bad and may be harder to play on but get your facts right before moaning!!
    Thanks

To be fair he didn't say that he said that we need better ground staff who can look after the pitch so it can handle both sports

Colin W*nker calling it a rugby pitch - just another inept comment from that baffoon.

FC have played on it what about four times so far since Feb - so how does that make it a rugby pitch..

I didn't think it looked or played that bad last night and will surely improve with more daylight hours in the coming weeks.

As someone else has said not as bad as Readings which is used by a rugby union side (sarries or London Irish or someone) played throughout the winter (unlike summer RL) and where rucking and proper scrums cut the pitch up.. and Reading seem to be doing a good job albeit eeking out slender 1-0 wins

I'm not an expert but i don't think they contest the scrum anymore in Union, and as for rucking, do you mean falling over and them all pilling on top?

As you can see i think Union is ****e. But that's besides the point.

I agree about the light situation and the cold snap hasn't done anything to help the grass grow. When it does come it needs to be allowed to grow for a while so it's quite think and long and then they can cut it.

Excuse me, but where do I say that we shouldn't be sharing with the Rugby team? If you read it properly you would see I said we need a pitch that can handle FOOTBALL and RUGBY. Happy to help those not able to read. Thanks

Erm quite, perhaps read the post before posting pointless comments. My post suggests the pitch needs to sustain BOTH codes. Clearly the pitch in it's current state cannot, because as a playing surface for a passing team it's bloody awful. Happy to help.

Is there really any point in posting a thread on the pitch after every game?

Everything that can be said on the matter already has been, hopefully we'll re-lay it, or buy some lamps etc, but we really don't need to discuss it after each game.

Have the club stated that they are going to do something about the pitch?

I vote for a top quality artificial pitch.
This would obviously upset the traditionalists, but the problem would be solved in one fell swoop and we would have a dependable surface that complements NB's passing game.
    Job done.
