I thought I'd make a thread dedicated to our very own Welsh Xavi! How much did we pay for this lad, 15m? Bargain. What a player we have on our hands here, and what a fantastic passer of the ball, the nearest thing to Alonso that we've had since he left.
Laudrup has started very well indeed I think we all still have faith in Rodgers though, we've started with a tough run of games but it'll take time. We've all been encouraged by what we've seen so far
Fantastic player. He and Sterling are the the silver lining. Shame the rest of the team are technically inept
Nah I think we've looked great, that was only our third PL match and the passign game is already shining through, I think all us Liverpool fans should be very encouraged with our style of football Patience is what's needed, and perhaps a striker It will all come good
Unfortunately we got a tough string of games to start of with, West Brom away and up against a previous coach. Then the defending Champions at home, and now Arsenal, and if I'm honest we haven't played bad in any of them games, we've done well. We've been punished for silly mistakes, the woodwork is still playing a blinder against us and we're still without a goalscorer. There's still 35 games to play, and our we're only 4 points behind our main top 4 rivals. Could be a lot worse, atleast our style is apparent and the vision is clear. We've got a solid base, the deadwood is cleared and even though we got no one in, atleast we didn't replace the bad players with bad players. Come January we'll strengthen and we'll only improve. Plenty to be optimistic about mate
We missed Lucas today. Team was a mess and we missed the glue that holds us together. That and a ****ing striker
I know we have been unlucky with costly mistakes so far and hitting the woodwork but whenever we go a goal down, we just seem to give up and accept the fact that we'll lose. Until we rectify this, then we're not going to do any better than last year.
True, I remember back under Rafa we were the 'comeback kings'. How I miss them days, it probably is just a state of mind, though, at sometime this has to change, hopefully sooner rather than later. When we went 2-0 down we actually created a few chances and probably should of at least grabbed a consolation goal. Ah well though, instead of ruing our mistakes we have to start learning from them, it's the only way to get over them.
I've just seen the stats, it was something like 94% completion from 60+ passes. The only player with better % than him today was Arteta.
