Should probably be made a sticky... So what's the excuse going to be tonight?? Poor defending? A young side? Pretty tippy tappy football ultimately going nowhere? Get your votes in before the clown gives it away on TWTD, what will be the next in line from "The Paul Jewell Book of (Mis)Management Excuses" co-written by itfcptc...
"We played some good stuff tonight and if we could've scored and kept the ball out of our goal we would've got a result"
Apparently at 1-0 down we have "a mountain to climb" Really, you don't have much confidence of us scoring then do you.
"We are trying to improve the squad but its proving difficult" "we're just a goal away from being successful" You couldn't make this crap up!
The other team didn't let us score & then had the cheek to score 2 themselves I'm taking my ball & going home
Just seen this on the TWTD forum... http://www.twtd.co.uk/forum/231838/group-in-lower-sbr-told-not-to-chant-jewell-out/#8 Un-****ing-believable if true!
Tommy Smith has scored more goals so far than Chopra.. Just a pity that they were for the opposition!
Classic from Jewell after last night (this is true) Jewell "Goals changes games" and the award for stating the bloody obvious goes too............................................
The sad thing is i dont think many of them are excuses. I think he points out the truth and Im not sure if its makes it better or worse. Goals change games - how many sitters have we missed this season- its a cliche but not an excuse played decent football - another truth - doesnt mean we get any points but also not an excuse (unless he used it last night aswell) Stupid moments costing us - again true both last night and on Saturday Im not defending Jewell, its his job to improve on most of these things in training but I do sometimes wonder what you expect him to say.
