Thought you all might like a read of this, my feature on the next opposition. Thoughts/shares etc always welcome! I take a look at the prospect of a City victory in the Capital One Cup tie on Tuesday, whilst two Southampton fans give a bit of insight into the team we can expect to face, Gareth Bale, Lambert & more http://exiledrobin.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/the-inside-line-southampton-24092013.html Thanks for reading!
Still not got over your last visit. Hope we extract a little revenge, though I can appreciate how meaningless it is, being as though your fighting relegation in L1 now! Always been more of a Rovers man.....can you tell!
A good read, thanks for that. I will be very surprised with anything but an easy Saints win. Osvaldo may play a part to get him off the mark and £11million player Ramirez will probably start.
Looking forward to this game....find cup games less stressful than league games...though still like to win. The League Cup should be a target as it is a way into Europe...though won't mind if we make it through the league
Thanks all! Sold around 500 tickets so far, would guess it might make 800-1000 on the night. We took 2,500 to Swindon Saturday, I think that's had negative effect on possible following, unfortunately, being so close together.
Nyatanga and the wiley Carey kept us out last time, however hoping for better than the last time I saw you guys play at St. Mary's. Is big Marvin still any good?!
Whatever happened to Liam Fontaine, exiled robin? He had a medical with us, it flagged a concern with his ankle and I've not heard of him since.
Fontaine has lost a lot of confidence since that moment (when ironically, many didn't want us to sell) and it was a good move for all when he left on loan. Had become the scapegoat for the lack of clean sheets, and was even disgracefully booed onto the pitch as a substitute earlier this season. Clean sheet situation has hardly improved since he left. He'll always be a decent lower Championship/high League One defender, whether he can take that next step up probably depends on his next permanent move. Enjoyed Tuesday night, thought we did OK against a team that was made up of many promotion winners. Thought Ramirez was class first half, and the lads down your flanks played some good football
