A week or so ago I wrote something of the disimilarities of Liverpool and Sunderland in connection with the ability to keep and play our potential hometown youth and hold on to them. I meant to draw some comparison with the passion...numerical following...and love of a fan base whose region has provided decades of talent for the England National team I have in the back of my mind also that Liverpools development as a coastal city of the North relates comfortably to ours in some ways
The one thing which we havent particularly reflected however is the outright denial of the Scouse to defer to the National Team There were recent "exposees" by the media about the phenomenon that...Liverpool supporters actually were very open to admitting that they weren`t too bothered at all about the National side and it came a second best to their interests
Well , maybe we can all learn from each other! Fabio Capello`s latest analysis of Bents "sudden" improvement, maybe should give us time to reflect and steel ourselves Im sure he hasnt an original thought in his head He wants Wilshere to be a Makellele....and Bent by his own admission is revealed to him not because of what hes seen but what he has been told by others Many on Wearside are fuming now as a foreigner sifts and regurgitates his inept spin on the subject of Bents improvement Time for fortress Sunderland Mark II in spirit as well as results.....Too many factions make Sunderland "unfashionable" ," regressive" "also rans"
