He's either not telling the truth or knows more about the inner workings of the club than we do. I'm hoping it is the second. We have no proof that boruc wants out other than an instagram post that could be unrelated
He definitely knows more about the inner workings of the club than any of us. This article basically backs what the sane fans thought about the situation.
It is a bit Ironic though in my eyes....Since Les Reed joined us there has always been (for me at least) a them and us attitude. When Cortese was his boss I accept that he may have had to curb his offerings to the press because as we know Cortese was very anti press. Cortese relied on Reed a lot to help him through the footballing area's Cortese was not familiar with. I am convinced that he did not receive good advice at times. It is easy for us as fans to criticise the goings on at board room level, but who's fault is that? The lack of info lead us to think we were going against the stated club policy. Namely we were not a selling club. In his statement Les Reed repeated those words except he changed them slightly by saying "We do not need to sell" A suttle difference in my view to the noises coming out at the time. "We are not a selling club ETC" Obviously with the new chairman off gallivanting around the world for goodness knows what during the crisis time and Les Reed off doing similar things at the same time didn't help. I can't help feeling that it could have been another debacle time as it was at Charlton a few years back when he was there and had to leave. Still I guess and hope he has learned some lessons from all this as well and he actually remembers the fans are the life blood of Saints. Without us it doesn't matter how many millions the owner has as she would quickly lose it all if you keep alienating us fans. This is just my opinion guys for what it is worth...........
do not need to sell reconciles with the original do not want to sell stance fine imo. there is some disagreement over the tipping point of when we became motivated to sell however.
I am inclined to take what he says at face value. It would have been great if there had been someone charismatic enough to convince the players to stay, but I believe that the only message that the wantaways might have heeded was the "yes, we are going to spend another £30m+ and go for it this season" and that wasn't on offer. Without that sort of spend there is no way Saints would trouble the top places, so they were always going to go, IMO. Given all that, I think that he did as well as could have been expected with no manager in place.
You are getting really boring. Your constant going on about Boruc and how he has been treated etc. How do we know he isn't telling the truth? Boruc could just be annoyed that he lost his place but has said he will fight for it or do you know something else? Morgan could have said I will buckle down and play or do you know this is wrong as well? You seem to have a thing about having a go at our board even tho you aren't a supporter of Saints. I don't really get it myself.
I admire your loyalty to your man, but this is our club, we know its not your club of choice. You will start to create a lack of sympathy towards a player that most fans really like, by continually harping on.
God knows why he would come out with a comment like that??? We might not be privy to the things that have gone on but its blatantly obvious Morgan wants out after his twitter rant. Still convinced he will be gone before window shuts.
Feel free to put me on ignore then. It is a fact. This is not good pr it just makes him look clueless and like the club pr department are on holiday 24/7
It is not about one particular player. It's about those in charge at club or at least in charge of giving media statements look silly. I have no issue with saints. In fact id like to see you do well but your pr depart need to get it together
Or as an alternative, it shows how hard the club are trying to let people know that the club is rapidly regaining harmony and how strong he is going to be as a manager.
Well I am a saints fan and I think you are not deep down. So, the PR department are really putting me in their target market and I'm happy with what has been coming out recently. I have the ability to not take every statement verbatim and realise that my club is on the road to recovery. I'd also suggest that there are some people associated with players (if not the players too) that need to get it together.
Well if saints were my club I wouldn't be happy with some of misleading comments coming out but we all have our own opinions as how as fans we choose to take what our clubs tell us. All that article had to do was drop that one sentence.
