http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...league-at-stake-says-steve-bruce-8591949.html Shame the journalist can't get the facts right re Evans / Brady.
It has indeed been the worst ever choke job city has done. Really can't believe it has come down to this. I'm pleased for those who still believe. I feel sick though.
Indeed. City can still do this, shame it has to be the hard way. I hope Brucie gets them back to playing together again, rather than hoofing the ball, i.e., Quinn and Brady supporting each other to get the crosses in and Elmo and Meyler doing the same on the right. Whilst we are not the best team in the division we are still a good team, in an evenly balanced division, with any team beating each other on a given day. The players will be hurting and keen to put this right. UTT !!
I've calmed down a bit after the disaster at the weekend. The pressure is off in many ways because we just have to play one cup final and see what happens, I'm ready to get behind the boys as I suspect many are. If we win I will be delighted, If we loose I will be distraught, will be a big task picking ourselves up for the play-offs but either way I will be there until the end as I suspect many of you will be to!
I wonder if the "fans" who posted bottling type crap on these very forums, but aimed at Cardiff, who quite clearly didn't, are feeling at least a little bit stupid now. I doubt it.
Apparently Corry Evans is one of our wing-backs, everyone would love to see us **** it up. I hope we can rub their faces in our glory on Sunday.
When Hull City play to there best we are. Much evidence to support this over the season. A lack of goals has cost us the title. In fact we should have had this all done and dusted weeks ago with a goal scorer. Its been the main Achilles heel all season. Nevermind the injuries. Actually this acrticle should be plastered all over the Cottingham training complex and in the KC dressing room. If this does not get them going then nowt will.
Whoever could you mean? Same one who said it was when not if we get promoted no doubt. He looks a bigger bell cheese than normal at the moment. For the record I think we've blown it. No way on this mans planet can we turn this form around in a week. We're doing a Leicester.
I would love it if we did it now. It will be hard but we can do it, teams have come back from worse form. Surely though we have to come out of this run eventually we are not going to lose our next 46 games in a row, so why not next week? I might be overly positive but i feel we can do it.
Fair play to Cardiff for at last getting it right at last. As for feeling stupid why ? Upto until they beat Forest 3-0 not that long ago they were wobbling slightly. I suggest you look at Cardiffs last 12 results like. I am happy to say WELL DONE CARDIFF as i got that prediction wrong on this occasion.
This is Hull City we do wobbles, the last one I remember was when we needed 3 goals at Burnley and got 2, before that we lost out on promotion to the old 1st division by point something of a goal, get use to it folks. And as for this time, I just don't know but there will be a few more stomach ulcers around the City faithful whatever the outcome.
If you look at that, doesn't it seem a bit contradictory? We do wobbles, but the last time you remember us doing one was donkey's years ago. It's something that's got me recently everyone saying we'll throw it away like we always do and stuff like that. Unless you count being 9 games into the PL and being joint top I don't remember us being in a good position and throwing it away in the whole time I've been following us. Nearest to it would be the Orient away game in the playoffs where we were 1-0 up from the first leg and lost 2-1 on aggregate. Everything else was just us being the bookies' favourites before the season started in D3 every year, only for us to be midtable or worse, and that's just people not understanding how bookies calculate their odds.
I'm also very nervous about tomorrow but i can see Watford either losing or drawing to Leeds meaning we only need a draw to go up, the only worrying thing is like it says, our strikers don't score. So where are the goals going to come from on Saturday? George Boyd is the likely candidate, hopefully Ghedo finds some form too...otherwise it'll be a cruel game
It's the worst capitulation I can remember. We have to win, Watford are playing the second worst team away from home this season. They will smash Leeds, so only 3 points will do.
