i have always thought that hulkenberg was an overated driver since his pole position in 2010 after everyone was getting really excited over him. i think that it was due to a wet set up even though the team thouroughly denies it.

But, i will well and truly be proved wrong and i will admit that i was wrong about him if he shines in the wet. this qualifying session in malaysia should be god because it is forecast to rain. the performance of this years force india team is around about the same as the wiliams. i am not basing this on much data but only that force india this year are about 7th fastest this year while williams were 6th in the constructors championship.

i think that in a wet qualifying session hulkenberg should at least get into the top 10 easily and to be honest to match the hype of his rain skills he needs to get in the top 5 to prove that he truly is the great driver that people think he is.

He's no rain master, he was in the right place at the right time when he got pole in Brazil. I think he's an excellent young talent though, far better than Di Resta.
 
I think he was just the right person in the right place with the right car, it was really the only eye-catching thing he did, and he was beaten fairly easily by team-mate Rubens
 
well there was others out at the same time as hulk, but im not sure I want to fuel this argument. Di Resta and Hulkenburg are both really good talents <ok>

I would love to see a suprise pole this year but not this early. I want to see who's who first before we mix it up
 
This again! Wouldn't it be better discussed later in the season when we'll have something new to say?
 
I think he's an average midfield F1 driver. And that should not be seen as a criticism at all: I'm saying he deserves to be where he is, but doubt he's WDC material.
 
Where diResta claims to lose a second or so due to traffic on his outlap which in effect he couldnt heat up tyres or some crap..
 
The Interlagos pole proves he's capable of it, if the conditions are right.
There are plenty of drivers who can't even when everything is right for them.

Just like every other driver, he's not going to do it every time, but he's proved he can, if only fleetingly.
If he's done it once he can do it again, and also should do better than the 22pts he pulled in for Williams in 2010.
I'm not saying he will, but I went for Above Average
 
The Interlagos drive was good, but a situation of circumstance. Considering he went up against Barichello (who was past his sell-by date) he never really impressed me in the Williams and if Sutil had been acquitted then I would certainly not justify dropping him for Hulkenberg.

I worry that Force India look like they've taken a major step backwards. Reckon Hulkenberg is fairly talented but then again we said that about Sutil!
