    Hi guys,

how y'all think the Hotspurs team is gonna do this season? I think the roster is a little bit light in center field and a new offensive frontman should definitely be a priority in the transfer window draft. On the whole though I'm kinda optimistic and think we gotta real chance of winning the British Soccer League.

Have they ever thought about making the goals bigger at Hotspurs Stadium? That would be sick. It would make for more exciting high score games and probably less tied games which would be rad.

Nevertheless, The Hotspurs got the coolest name in world soccer. Kinda brings to mind the cool cowboy guy from The Village People.

    GO SOCCER!!

    GO HOTSPURS!!

Steady on tots, yes we've had a good start but let's wait and see what happens when we lose one, it wouldn't surprise me if a poorish run follows before we pick up again. The worst thing we or anybody connected with the club can do is blow the trumpet too loudly at this stage of the season. I've known big mouths get shut after a defeat they thought they'd win. "We will do this or we will do that" is dangerous because it deflates us if we lose and makes us a laughing stock to others. I'm waiting to see how we do against the top clubs.

I think the guys who own the Hotspurs franchise are really missing a trick in their US marketing cos there has been a huge explosion in 'cowboy cool' since the release of Brokeback Mountain and you guys could really capitalize on that and boost the Hotspurs brand profile on the back of it. My grandpappy was a limey and he supported one of the more high profile British clubs but, as i say, with a proper marketing campaign one day you guys could maybe up there with them.

    My grandpappys british soccer stuff.

    Hi Brad,

Who do you rate more as a wide receiver? Lennon or Townsend?

I'm not sure West Ham are 'one of the more high profile British clubs' - surely not even in the top ten?

But welcome to the Forum CSBrad.

Would they say Grandpappy in Chicago? Admittedly my research is American films, but it seems a western term - and I think you have to have a white beard and no teeth.

Do Americans even use "mug" as an insult?

Agree with the others, it's a poor impersonation.

Not anyone can be a comedian Brad, you have to have a modicum of intelligence as a starting point <ok>
