Nostalgia Time .
One of my first memories of visiting the Vic dates back to around 1960. My dad and I used to stand on the shale/cinders between the old rookery stand and the shrodells stand(not far fom the old teahut). One evening game we were making our way towards the exit into occupation road with only a few minutes to go.Watford were awarded a free kick just outside the area.Tommy Harmer took ages positioning Cliff Holton into the exact position for his delivery.
Without taking his eye off big Cliff ,Tommy calmly chipped the ball into the net. I dont think the keeper even moved.
