Seems like Mexico will be like the UK in a few weeks.

Cases have just started here and taking into account what has happened in other countries time won't save us. I have my suspicions the numbers aren't correct either.

Thing is here I highly doubt the Gov has the resources to pay people, many people here live hand to mouth. The health system is not the best and I assume is ill prepared. If work is stopped I can only see riots and / or ransacking.

Time to buckle up for a rough ride here me thinks.

    Stay safe all.

    Morning, Dave; morning, all. :)

Did you catch that Marx Bros thing I posted yesterday, Dave? Comment 18846. I love that left-field comedy.

How are you getting on with this lockdown? Have you been getting on shopping-wise all right?

Not a big fan of the Marx Bros. I managed to get shopping yesterday with lots of help from a friend.

I'm so glad I bought a kindle, I'm enjoying the joys of reading again!

Morning all. Another sunny and warm morning here. So the restrictions on our lives have been ramped up another notch. Street markets are to close, visits to the doctor now off limit, and I am supposed to only leave the house for one hour a day. I am very lucky that living in the country I can self isolate down my fields for hours on end, and no one apart from Mme would know I was there. For those who live in the towns and cities it is very different, and the new restrictions are more geared towards them. As the UK government slowly takes a few faltering steps to get into line with the rest of the world, I suspect that there will be more to come there over the coming weeks.
Enjoy your day especially if you have a good book. <ok>

    Morning, Dave; morning, all. :)

The day looks beautiful. However, the doom of the boys’ school timetables beckons... :emoticon-0120-doh:

Yesterday, I was Computing teacher, Physics teacher, Maths teacher, English Language teacher, Chemistry teacher. :bandit:
Thank goodness Mrs Andy is such a clever sausage and does the rest.

Morning all from a sunny and still day in rural France. The district nurse has just gone past the house in her car having completed her morning round of calls. The post lady might come through about midday, but there is virtually no traffic at all now, and there wasn't much before. There is a strange silence when even the trees are not rustling in the breeze. Yesterday afternoon I fired up my strimmer to cut back some long grass and wondered if it was allowed under the current regulations. Mme who was in the garden here, 400 metres away from where I was could hear it. Anyway no one came to tell me it didn't count as exercise, so I don't think there will be a fine. Enjoy your day whatever befalls. <ok>

We've had a wonderful run of sunny and warm days here, it is great to be out in the garden. It must be extremely difficult for those who live in flats, it is a shame these restrictions will go on so long.
