Morning all. Sunshine and very light showers currently, but it should be dry later. Cannot stop as we are on a button hunt. Mme has dropped one which has probably rolled, and she cannot finish her new jumper without it. At least she didn't lose it while the game was being played yesterday. Enjoy your day, and let us all hope that it is a good news day.
Good evening folks! The news from the surgeon was as good as could be expected. For the time being Mrs Fez is clear and we go back in three months. There is every chance it will return as the underlying cause itself is incurable, such is the nature of this particular beast, but today's news was an enormous relief. Thank you all for your well wishes, very much appreciated.
Very happy for you both Fez enjoy your time together. Good morning all from a cool and damp Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day
It may be blowing a bit outside, but I am happy to see that there is some good news that is more important than a spot of wind. My local team have just signed a player who had spells with Arsenal and Derby. He is only 28 and is a large centre forward, but looking at his other clubs he has done the rounds a bit, and has been released by a team in Turkey. Arsenal signed him from Chateauroux as a prospect I think, but the reserves were the height of his achievements with them, before being loaned out to Derby. I will watch his progress here with interest and see if there is a glimmer still of the talent that Arsenal could see. Have a very good day whatever the weather.
Morning all. Very windy in rural France this morning, I think we are on the tail end of your storms. Still there is a clear blue sky and it is warm for this time of year. Many of the wild flowers such as celandines are opening their petals now to create a splash of colour along the lanes, a sure sign that Spring is just around the corner. Mme has suddenly thought that she needs some things, so a trip out for the day ahead. I will look forward to a spot of lunch to kill the pain of the shops. Have a very good day whatever you must do.
Hope you are all well. it has calmed down where I live a bit now. People were taking "plaza" from shops and stalls. (Money paid just to operate to the local hoodlums) and things were getting out of hand. Seems to have quitened down for now. Hopefully that continues. Wonder if that happens back in Blighty?
Sounds like protection money Mex. That certainly happens here! Good morning all from a cool and dry Weston-super-Mare,! Have a good day
When I worked on the bins in my late teens ( I only lasted three weeks!) We did a whole street of shops and every shop paid a 'tip' to the head honcho in order for us to empty their bins. It was then shared out dependant on your status on the lorry.... it was actually good money.....
