OK you lovely people, I'm off to bed! I make it two favours we've done you recently, we let you win at Carrow Road, then we beat Everton away to put a telling nail in Silva's coffin! Night all Night H
Evening all from a damp and blustery Sussex. Glad to see you are getting looked after Dave. Looks like a smooth crossing tomorrow and I just hope that dinner onboard is up to normal standard. Wonder if the WiFi will work on board, as I have some catching up to do.
Don't worry Dave your friendly Hornets will find you and take you home! Glad they are looking after you well and keeping you well fuelled with the right ingredients.
Morning all. On ferry, but it is anything but smooth. Wet and foggy in Newhaven and rather pleased to be heading home. Traveling around England has not been fun, but hopefully I will not have to come over again for some months. WiFi is working better on the high seas than in the hotel. Enjoy your day wherever you may be going or whatever you are doing.
Looks like a second day of national strikes in France, no trains or flights and oil refineries blocked. It sounds a bit like of a war zone.
My cousin has a brain cancer stage 3 and is currently avoiding treatment so he can “enjoy a few months”. Difficult for everyone else to understand, to be honest. It’s got to be very hard, putting yourself through all the treatments, but you must know that everyone is with, at least in spirit. Stick at it, Dave.
Foul journey due to the weather. Ferry late leaving because of rough seas, so no on-board dinner as Mme sits still and doesn't move or eat when it is like that. Watched some of the disturbances from Paris on the ferry TV and it was clear that there was a very poor turn out of protestors. Dieppe, Rouen and Orleans are supposed to be centres for the extremists, yet no sign of a single banner or yellow vest as I passed through. All of the service stations had fuel so no problem there. Rained nearly all the way down, and the traffic was heavy on the autoroutes and some people really should adjust their headlights. Stopped in Chartres for some dinner seeing as I had missed out on the ferry, and that was very good indeed. No cheap curry house for OFH, but a proper sit down three course meal. Must get some sleep now as it has been a long day!
