  1. X factor, Britains got Talent, Ed Sheeran, Adele, four fried chicken shops on every high street, pubs closing down in record numbers, Aussies winning the Ashes, an honours system the recognised the likes of Fiona Hill and Nick Timothy.
Hmmm - this may not be the response you were after <whistle>

Morning all. Sunny and of course dry here with temperature expected to be up in the thirties again later. Our restaurant was really buzzing yesterday with a large French birthday dinner underway. No wonder they had the full signs up outside. The chef had started at 6.00 am and by the time everything was cleared away and cleaned it was going to be 6.00 pm when he finished. No surprise that they are closed Sunday evening. One of our regular group was in hospital having had a stroke in the week. His wife came home in the late afternoon to find him on the floor. He was whipped off to Poitiers where they did a CT scan and operated the same night to remove a blood clot from his brain. He is on the road to recovery, but is currently having speech problems, although at this stage no physical movement difficulties. One of our group was a sister in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast before retiring. Her comments about the differences between health care here and in Northern Ireland were quite an eye-opener. Enjoy your day whatever you have to do. <ok>

    Sad news.. Wish him well...
One of our friends has just been diagnosed with lymes disease... Apparently she had a lot of bites in July but no symptoms.. She was feeling lethargic last week, with some heart symptoms and they tested her and now she is on the antibiotics.. Hoping it is in time...

Paddy must be turning in his grave at the opportunistic antics of the present Lib Dem leaders.

Of course you were. Anyone with half a brain cell could see that you were trying to high jack something that was talking about non-party politics.

Morning all. Quite nice and cool at present, so will get some barrels of water down the fields before the temperature rises. Expected to be 32°C later. While doing that Mme can go in search of some bread. My prefered baker and our auto bread bread machine are on holiday at present, so into the Haute Vienne to the baker in town there. If we go there you pass the wind turbines that haven't turned at all for the past week. I think that the barns with solar panels covering the roofs are rather more productive at present. Enjoy your day whatever is on the agenda. :emoticon-0100-smile
