Morning all. Wet and windy, in fact it is foul outside. It could be worse if it were cold and this lot was coming down as snow. The stone walls have retained the heat, so I will stay in and wait for it to pass. I picked some daffodils for Mme yesterday and snowdrops are out which shows that Spring is almost here.
Morning all. Rather grey, and you can feel some mizzle in the air. I need to get a lot more logs up from the field as my woodpile here is getting very low and you don't want to be doing it in the rain. Granddaughters will be on school holiday next week. I wonder if they would like to earn a little money.
Morning all. A heavy overnight frost, but a lovely blue sky and bright sunshine should soon move it on. I received a card yesterday that gives me access to my local recycling centre. It seems that too many people from outside the area were using it to get rid of their trade waste, so there is an ID system now in place to ensure that we are not having to pay to recycle or dispose of other peoples rubbish. Seems fair enough as the department does spend a huge amount on the process, but manages to recycle about 80% of waste now.
Morning all ..spent the day in A and E yesterday... and it now transpires I have had a TIA which has affected my speech areas.... so struggling to come to terms with this and what it means.... starting with more pills have a good day.... I can still write' well' !
Morning all. Another lovely bright sunny day. It certainly felt very much warmer yesterday afternoon, but with the clear sky it has meant another frosty start. I have concluded that blue tits are a bit brighter than great tits. Walk past the nuts and grease balls that we put out, and they will all fly away, but the blue tits stay close, and return much quicker to get at the food. I have also a sparrow that has mastered the art of hanging onto a feeder. Most of the time they will go around the soil picking up what has been dropped, but this one knows how to get first pickings.
