Morning all. A beautiful Sunday morning. Temperature just right at the moment, although we are back into the 30°C s again later today. All these people and their holidays sound good. I had a reminder today to pay the balance due for mine which is coming up next month. Meanwhile we have the summer influx of visitors coming here. Great to be with people you haven't seen for quite a time, but they seem to think that because they are on holiday so are you. Organising the must do tasks becomes a little difficult when you are trying to entertain also.
At the airport. Can someone tell Frenchie its,his shout at the pub quiz Sent from my G3121 using Tapatalk
I could put the same as yesterday, apart from the fact it's raining and jerzeypie has gone to play softball and then has to go into work to do some prep work for tomorrow.
New season and we were last on MotD again. Plus ca change. On the bright side Sunday mornings are great when you got three points the day before
As a Green you should be doing it by train Yorkie Very easy - Eurostar to Brussels, ICE to Cologne or Frankfurt, ICE to Munich, Munich-Vienna and then onwards from there. All very easy - only about 15-16 hours . Give us a wave when you fly over us, and have a great time.
Morning all. Overnight rain was forecast, starting at 4.00 a.m. On the confident belief that is was on its way I didn't water last night. No sign of it at 8.00 a.m. , but some has now arrived from the south west. I would be quite happy if it rained all day, but looking at the sky that doesn't seem likely.
Morning all. I usually walk from Westminster station to the office between 7.30 and 8 AM. Thankfully I'm on a training course elsewhere today. Thoughts are with the injured.
Morning all. Bright and breezy in rural France this morning, looks like a good day ahead. Our commune fete starts this evening with the annual cycle race that comes past the cottage five times. The course starts down by the river and climbs up for about 8 miles before reaching us, then dives back down the hill for the remaining 2 miles. To try that five times after a day at work is not my idea of a spin through the countryside. After the race there is a disco for the teenagers or those who still feel young. Tomorrow is the big day, but more about that at a later time.
A genuine French blue sky with white fluffy clouds just hanging lazily around. A seat in the lane with a glass of merlot to hand. The neighbours and their visiting relations are all out chatting between themselves and with us. The leading cyclists are roaring past, mouths open as they gasp for air. The ones who have been left off the pace are starting to discuss what will be on the menu tonight. The solitary female rider is starting to find the pace a bit too hot and is dropping back. Sweets flying out the windows of passing cars for the spectators. Rural France is a very happy place tonight.
Good morning all from a warm and dry Weston-super-Mare. The promised rain has not yet arrived! Have a good day!
