Morning Andy, still too hot to stay in bed, we are apparently heading into a cooler period. Bring it on
Can’t wait. Never been a fan of great heat. Cornwall beckoning in about ten days, and I really don’t want blistering heat to ruin it.
Morning all. At last the heat is going for a few days at least. The possible showers for yesterday failed to arrive, so once again the watering can was pressed into service. My car service didn't quite go as planned when it was discovered that the fuel filter that was due to be changed didn't fit. To get at it a front wheel and arch has to be removed, with dozens of screws holding the arch in place. Great mutterings from the mechanic, probably a good thing I didn't understand his thoughts on the supplier, and returned home in a rather nice little Cleo with advertising for the garage plastered all over it. So back I go again this morning to pick my hopefully put back together again car.
Morning all. We had a storm in the night with rain. Instead of rejoicing with me, Mme was not happy as she found a puddle on the floor where I had left the window wide open. Can't win all the time.
Morning all. Sun shining brightly, but the temperature is so much better that I might even be able to get and paint my front door today. It seems that rabbits are running out of stick like chews that keep their teeth under control. I suppose wild ones find a sapling to do the same thing naturally.
Morning all... last day in the UK for us before we fly to Budapest for a few days and then down the Danube to Bucharest....
Morning all. Back into the Saturday routine of trying to do everything before 4.00 pm so that I can slump in front of my computer screen for a couple of hours. I managed to get the first coat of paint on yesterday, and must give the door a second one today. It was only after I had washed my brush out that I noticed that I had missed a bit totally. Still the sun is shining, it will be dry all day, and I should get it finished.
Morning all. It's a nice day here and I have peace and quiet for now as jerzeypie is at work and his brother is still in bed.
Morning all. Had a nice work trip to Aberystwyth this week to meet with a range of stakeholders associated with the industry I am working with. Always good to hear a divergence of views and future aspirations - and this week they were expressed with eloquence, passion and mutual respect. The last is often absent in our discussions so that was good. The town itself is lovely and I can certainly see why it's a popular choice for students. Have a good weekend one and all and here's hoping for three points at the Vic
Signing off for a couple of weeks...as we hit the Danube.... If i get wi fi i will post etc.... but who knows! COYH!
