Have a good week all. On a countdown here as off to Tequila (it is a village where the drink comes from) to see the distilleries this weekend and the 20th Nov is a bank holiday.
Morning all. A frosty start to the day here, but all the plants that are tender have been wrapped up in fleece or moved into the greenhouse where the little paraffin heater keeps the temperature above freezing. As you drive around the area you see what look like ghostly figures in gardens, but it is just people wishing to preserve their prized specimens that can be very expensive to replace.
https://www.vilaweb.cat/noticies/expulsades-dun-vol-de-vueling-per-haver-parlat-en-catala/ This sort of thing makes my blood boil. The captain of a Spanish flight ejected two women because they spoke in Catalan - which, he claimed, caused the flight attendant to feel disrespected and burst into tears. No more Spanish holidays for me or mine - and no more flights with Vueling Airlines...
I was out yesterday raking several tons of leaves off what I call my lawn. It appears to help to preserve the specimen I have in the greatest quantity...moss
I fought the moss in our present house for 10 years... until one year after putting down the moss killer and we had over half the lawns bare... now we have a moss lawn....
Morning all from a very bright rural France. No frost last night and no wind, so it feels a lot warmer. On the higher ground in the country some areas have received the snow that they need. To watch the people out preparing the ski slopes in something approaching a blizzard makes me want to turn the heating on.
I think that's the best answer, Yorkie. After all, the moss is green and looks not unlike lawn from a distance!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-41944136 Harry Potter translated into Scots - the outcry on social media will be something else when this news spreads. And then when the Gaelic version comes out - apoplexy, soaring blood pressure, eruptions of rage...

Yes - but it only appears to be the thought of Scots Gaelic that gets the Unionist blood raging over 'why should we pay for that?'
Is that painted on? Wow, I bet it makes cars really stop quicker! The sleeping policeman is ever present here, I think apart from the above it is the only traffic calming method that works as nobody wants to ruin their motor!
Morning all. Frost and fog first thing today, but the sun has broken through and despite being chilly it is a lovely day. Lost my internet just as I was wanting to catch up with the news. There are certain tools that you can use via the website, but the ones you really want can only be accessed if you are on-line. Still although it is not very fast it is generally reliable.
