So we have 5 points after 14 games and i think its fair to say that Harry has got a big job on his hands however much you think that our players have been under achieving so far.....

But last year we went 16 games between beating stoke away in November till beating Liverpool at home in March only picking up 7 points, yet we still survived.<ok> So if we were to beat Villa at home on Saturday that would be 8 points from 15, and potentially 11 points from 16. With the new motivation and confidence that Redknapp will bring to the club for fans and hopefully players i reckon that we are still well capable of staying in the prem this season.

Plus if you look at our last 5 home fixtures again this year, Id say that they are all winnable again bar maybe Arsenal, but if we dig in like we did against them last season at loftus road we're capable of taking all three!

Anyway Saturday is a must win for me and hope to see Loftus Road Rocking again for Harry's first home game, need to give as much support to the team as we did back end of last season and as much abuse to the opposition as possible! C'mon U R'ssss, we believe!

    Hi Hoops84
see that was your first post ....agree with you...lots of teams go through bad form during the season that no one really picks up on. I'm sure Blackpool were top of the Prem after 10 games and still got relegated. I was listening to a podcast last week where Rodney Marsh said that the year when Bradford stayed up, Wimbledon went down getting only 1 point from thier last 11 games. So its certainly in Rangers own hands. We need to start winning, and hopefully on Saturday we will start our road to recovery.

Win us being able to guarantee to reduce the safety deficeit to 5 points with a win over Villa on Saturday, a victory over them really is a must though. We need to keep the Harry effect going for the coming games before xmas, unlike when Hughes came in and we just gifted all our relegation rivals 3 points

It can look a lot better after Saturday, the others all have hard games and I suspect the only win will be when 2 of the teams play each other.

This makes 3 points and not just 1 all the more important.

need to score goals to win and also to stand a chance of surviving. A misfiring, lone, isolated Cisse makes makes me shudder. 2 wins an absolute minimum in next 2 games.

Absolutely this. Among many other mistakes sparky did was the believing of our strikeforce before the season. Cisse, who has been massive disappointment , Zamora who did have a history with injuries and Andy Johnson who is now and was before his transfer so injury prone that fulham-fans laugh when we bought him. He loaned DJ to Ipswich, Hulse to Charlton and sell iceman to Cardiff. He leave no decent back ups for Cisse, Johnson and Zamora.
SWP, Mackie, Taarabt and Hoilett are not pure strikers more likeable they are wingers or attacking midfielders. If Arry cant sort out our striker problem we are already relegated......

    Good post 84 <ok>

I agree Saturday is a must win game, in so many ways. If we manage this then I honsetly believe we'll stay unbeaten from now and until the new year.

Just putting it out there... Shoot me down :)

I just doesn't like the sound of "must win game". So what happens if we loose? Should supporters and players then give up and stop trying to the rest of the season? I mean, it was a must win game.
It's still November and the league is played to the last minute of the last match, Rangers out of all supporters should know this. We can do it .

IF we dont win this, we will have to win 1 or 2 against the bigger sides which is a lot harder, it can be done (see last season) but Id rather win all the home 6 pointers. We should be 4-5 points off safety if we win as all the others have hard games.

Reading match was a must-win-match, Southampton was even more MUST-WIN-MATCH. We blew them both and if we still are going to survive ,then we have to do it hardest possible away. With the present team i think its impossible task. Surely im hoping for it but just remember our mathes during last season and this. There is precious little to remember about.

What i am also worried about is that the total points to stay up this season could be high....Apart from us, there isn't anyone else who is making a total pig's ear of things...

Thats why it will be low, if someone gets 11 points like Derby, it means other teams get more points off them, including the relegation strugglers. Ideally we want it to be like it is now with all the teams above us taking points off each other making them easier to catch.
