A mate was telling me earlier that from Arsenal in Sep to Spuds in Dec that the eight games, including Fulham brought only six points in last season's fixtures.

Heres to hoping that from Aug to Dec our home form comes good, but against the top six its going to be hard.

Even if we pick up 3 points from the mags and 3 points from Fulham, that leaves, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U, Man C, Chelsea and Spurs.

So to be honest after i thought about it, 8 points against those teams isn't a bad return. We have a good run of winnable away fixtures, so i hope we manage to pick up points from these games.

Not sure what the average points is for teams at Christmas, but if we have close to the 20-25 point mark, it leaves us in a very good position

The home games after december are an absolute joy though and I'm expecting a strong finish from us.

This should happen in theory but if we are down amongst it come christmas then confidence will be low and these winnable games will become tricky. Imagine we had the games the other way round and we won 6 or 7 of our opening 9 home games. Then when the big boys came we would have been full of ourselves and would have had a better opportunity of catching some of them out and turning the SoL into a fortress.

lets hope the fickle fans realise that the season could possibly be very hard point wise until the half way point ,then as stated it is more likely that more points will be winnable in the second half of fixtures, as long as we do not have to watch the utter garbage suffered last season i will be satisfied , expectation is high at the moment ,the main thing is to be patient and tolerant if fans start the general moaning it will filter down to the pitch ,lets back the boldest move in our recent history and embrace it

I think we will just play each game as it comes mate.

I predicted games we had to win and games we wouldn't get anything in all last season and got them all wrong.

One thing for certain is we will give 100% EVERY game this coming season and if we do that, we have a chance of getting something in more than we have getting nothing.

I expect with our fitness levels being better than most teams in the league we should score a few very late goals resulting in a number of wins hopefully.
