Now to be honest, if that type of behaviour is deemed acceptable by the people who frequent this board then there is little point in having a moderator. The part of 606 which I really enjoyed was the banter with other fans, but let's be honest - aside from ourselves, the Budgies and teams from the North East there are a lot of big clubs and particularly at Championship level with few or no followers on not606. If the Norwich fans have a problem with me then that doesn't at all concern me - it's evidence of the type of people they are and consistent with my experience of the majority of Norwich fans outside the Virtual World. What would concern me is if the Town fans here (whose numbers are gradually diminishing despite our upturn in form) are of a similar opinion...

TBH Hampy, most Norwich fans are happy to give banter and take banter, Its all part and parcel of football forums and something which should be encouraged. The hypocitical nature of the minority is the factor that i can't stand, you know the type. They can say what they like, but as soon as you give it back they cry and run off saying that you are ruining their board. I must admit, I don't know what SN23 said but on the whole i have found him to be one of the better Norwich posters who will give it out and generally take it back on the chin without complaint, I must give some credit out here, I thought when i become a mod that Treacle would be a problem, but he has been an absolute diamond and i now think of him as a decent guy and poster within this forum.
I havent seen many of SN23's posts so cant comment on him but in general I have no problems with any Norwich fans, either on this board or in person. As long as it is banter rather than hate then I like the conversations so lets keep it going.
Not really sure what you're on about to be honest. Maybe just got a bit jealous of our club so decided to take out your frustrations on one of our supporters?

Carra & DM. In all fairness to Hampy there has been a lot more going on in the background than what has been published for everybody to see! Like i have always said, a football forum is a place to connect with your fellow fans, if you want to compliment them or just have a good old fashion dig. If you get rid of that and get to precious over your own board it will only cause trouble later on! I have been warned in the past just for stating my opinions, nothing abusive, just fighting for my opinion. How can anybody justify that? Saying that, 99% of Norwich fans are a fantastic bunch of fans who like a laugh and a bit of friendly rivalry.
Should add that I'm pretty sure it was you who had made many WUM topics on the same subject on our board in one evening (And proceeded to delete any comments we posted on yours as an immature act of retaliation when the topics where closed) so it all seems a bit hypocritical to ban SN23 when Dave didn't ban you.
I am afraid that the title "Hate Campaign" is a little strong and a bit uncalled for. It is just friendly banter and nobody should take it too seriously. The funniest part of the forums are when people are bad losers. We need a return to domestic football and have something else to talk and squabble over.

So, SN23 was abusive and got banned, and you've got an issue with Dave. Is that it? You know I very rarely venture onto the Town board Hampy, but when pretty much all us City followers on 'not' are being accused of a hate campaign, it really requires a bit of an explanation, doesn't it?
I'm not sure what's been going on but threads like this can only make matters worse surely. I'm on the Ipswich board every day but never the Narwich, (there are enough on here to keep me company without going looking for more) and I haven't seen anything that would make me want to ban someone (I think some of SN23's posts were removed before I saw them though) Are you taking things too personally Hampy? Maybe you should take a break from moderating for a while if it's getting to you.
Yeah I think it's time to call it a day. It's fairly obvious what I'm on about if you read posts on the Norwich board, if not the stuff behind the scenes. With relation to the WUM posts on the Norwich board - to be fair there was nothing offensive in those posts and I left it once Dave and Thai decided they didn't like it. So no, I dont think banter can be given and taken and it's a different kettle of fish to the SN23 debacle. Cheerio fellas
A sad day Mr Hamps but if you have decided to take a break I would like to say that you did a great job in what is a mostly thankless task. And well done for making sure the Camilla flowers thing came to fruition, along with others, of course.
Come on Hampy,it's only a bit of text for goodness sake.There are far more important issues in the world today,the price of cigarettes being my major gripe at the moment. Didn't Town fans,myself honourably excluded,give them hell on the old 606 when they got relegated to League One? It's our turn to take it on the chin for a short while.
