Thanks for posting this Fulhaman. I've got his book but it's yonks since I've read it. Suffice to say I'm in the Alec Stock appreciation society. Although not as personally harsh his leaving of Fulham was also a tad tragic; caused by the 'money men' Eric Miller and Ernie Clay moving in. Alec though was a true gentleman and, without doubt, the man who rescued Fulham from a period of apathy and indifference. A period full of legends and great memories, despite the Wembley disappointment! Boy, could we do with the likes of him today.
