Some how we got a win and a perfectly good goal disallowed.yes we looked poor as did forest.
The hard bit was done today we have never won at forest in my lifetime fantastic result.

Now we have a massive game against Coventry to look forward too.we have to say the easier of the two fixtures.win this and just may be there could be a light at the end of the tunnel.loose it and we are back to square one.

THIS IS TRULY CITYS BIGGEST GAME SINCE THE PLAY-OFF FINAL.

A sold out Ashton Gate rocking, let's hope the players can give a performance and give us the three points.

Coventry has been one of the best teams for points since our return to the championship, let hope we can take three on Monday.

Unbelievable performance and result and what a hero Gerken was.
Amazing lads, if you can play with such heart, why are we in trouble.

I just hope we can get back to back wins as Monday is even bigger now and unfortunatley we'll be slight favourites, but after I forecast us losing 6-1 I'm right happy !!!

Have to admit I didn't see us winning today, nor did I see a draw for Coventry. I will be happy with a draw on Monday as Coventry will now know they are fighting for their lives.

Well done to Del. your game an worked

    Come on you reds!

I got to see the game today back here in Canada and even though we probably didn't deserve to win we did, and that's all that counts in the table.

Gerken was definitely the hero today due to a couple of really fine saves whilst we were under a lot of pressure and surely he will go all the way to the end of the season based on today's form. I saw many of our usual errors such as giving the ball away too many times, especially coming out of defence, and our transition play was absolutely appalling mainly due to the fact that we have no midfield general to control the pace of play. How many posters have pointed out the fact that we need major improvement in the midfield if we are to compete at any level?

Anyway the day turned out a lot better than any of us could have hoped for but unless we take 3 points on Monday today's effort will have been in vain. To stay in the Championship we need better all around effort if we are to achieve our goal of staying where we are for next season.

Well done lads but don't rest on your laurels and on Monday arrive at Ashton Gate with only winning on your minds. Nothing else will do - so there!

What a lot of us are forgetting is Del had to choose a team today with Mondays game in mind. Play players and rest a few.
Monday we have Fontaine back, and hopefully Pearson

Also I not a lover of Woolford don't know why but don't think we have seen the best of him but with Mcallister we need a more out and out left sided player with him who can also track back. Bolasie does not give that option. I think Del got it right today sit back play ugly and catch them on the break. And thank **** we had someone with the balls to take that pen, because to be honest when the whistle went I was thinking who have we got to take pens at the moment?

Still buzzing we beat Forest at long last

Lucky you Mike - we have it on tape delay at 7:30pm this evening in the USA. Of course, now I know the result, I can sit back with a big vodka red bull & really enjoy it! Great result today and as many have said, Monday is even bigger. I'll be on a plane flying to California on Monday and by the time I land in San Francisco, the game will be over. Hoping for a good result.

    Happy Easter to all!

Spent the evening doing in a gig in Coventry (!)

Quite funny because there was a few sky blue shirts sitting along the bar at the end of the room, and I found out the score from a Leeds supporter.
    Surreal and ultimately comical.
We had a rip roaring gig, which I dedicated "to my football team"

Still not over the shock yet.
    To Monday and beyond.....

Just hope the same attitude is evident on Monday. Doncaster are now all but down, but with games running out we can really put pressure on Coventry and Portsmouth

I'd like to think that beating Coventry and Barnsley at home might just be enough to save us.

    Come on City !!!!!

Tactics right, team selection right, players commitment right, performance right. So we won UGLY! Did anyone really expect that we would play free flowing, quick passing, entertaining football?
Gerken got man of the match but from commentary, Cisse and Skuse tackled like demons in fron of the back four.
A big thank you to all the squad.
We will see a different team personnel wise tomorrow with the emphasis on a more attacking display. I'll be glued to the radio as always and will be at The Gate for WHU and Barnsley next week.

the fixture list has been a bit unkind, it was apparent at the start of the season..Birm and WHU in our last 4 games! But at that point it didnt really seem to matter...would have been mid table or better!

The just keep on winning pundits should soon be back...and YUUUUUUUUppppp they are right that is now what we need.3 wins from the next 5.......no LESS.

I fear it is allover bar tears in our beers if we lose v Coventry....crunch games are:-

    CITY v COVENTRY
    PORTS v MILLWALL
    DONNY v PORTS
    COVENTRY v MILLWALL
    COVENTRY v DONNY
    FLOREST v PORTS

we really do need MILLWALL TO DO A RUNNER and of the bottom 4 COVENTRY LOOK STRONGEST .....SO..

    JUST DONT LOSE...............

    My guess is a draw.

Just hope Maynard doesn't score the goal which puts us down

I got told the other day by someone walking out the ground, that Maynard has been told he is surplus to requirement at West Ham, and with Wigan staging a late revival bet he is gutted he did not take his chance there. Don't know if this is true just what I heard.

But I have us down as a draw against West Ham

John, John, John, there you go again, trying to predict the unpredictable - if you could, you would be a multi-millionnaire, not batting around the country doing this here and that there.

Do you sit up all night calculating the odds of having cornflakes or Readybrek in the morning...?!!

Just relax and see what unfolds...

ROD, with a bit of better luck, he would have had a hat trick against Barnsley - hardly "surplus" material now is it...

I was told that last weekend Prem and I did say don't know if this is true.

I have never been anti Maynard and still have a signed photo scoring against QPR of him hanging in my house. And only wish the best for him. Hope he don't score against us though

Maynards situation was, as we know a dreadful bit of business by our board. Still no wrong doing from Maynard IMO.
It was the board who put him on the market..
He could still be the difference between us staying up or going down...one thing for sure, he's 100 times better than Wood, who IMO is absolutely dreadful.
