They really dont want to see the whole team ignore their golden boy, do they?

They were saying for weeks that it was going ahead and now its clear wed ignore him, they show themselves up as liars in order to save Terrys face.

That's a shame, I was going to suggest Anton took a leaf out of Yosser Hughes' book - this was one of the funniest scenes from all of ''The Boys from the Blackstuff'...

I'm no psychologist but all that hatred for some football players is unhealthy.

Actually Id say its unhealthy is anyone doesnt hate racists, wife beaters, killers etc.

Why didnt the FA cancel the handshake for the Evra Suarez match then?

I think it would have benefitted us. Terry fell apart against City when Bridge blanked him.

Fu*k that Flyer, it does you no good. We've got a thug in our ranks but once hes playing well for us its all good.

This handshake thing is a farce anyway. It should be scrapped for good.

Totally agree, doesn't do the sport any good and now all focus can just be on a game of football as it should be. I can't see why anyone wouldn't be happy with the outcome unless there is something seriously more sinister to it..

TBH its the only thing they could do to try and prevent it getting any worse.

The FA really have dug a hole for them selves on this one im afraid.

Agreed. They should have never come out and said it will go ahead if there was a chance they were going to do a u-turn on it. Embarrassing.

Bleasdale was a genius in the late-70s and 1980s. I loved this series and Jake's Progress, but his piece de resistance was undoubtedly GBH with Robert Lindsay and Michael Palin. Got all 3 on DVD. Pure genius.

Am I allowed to say that I'm finding the whole 'handshake' episode somewhat tedious?

You can't do that because if your Cisse you get sent off, no matter how gentle it is!

i agree with scrapping the whole thing and not just the ones where Terry will be shown up.

The above photo shows how ridiculous the whole hands to the face thing is, he should have been sent off and Barton stayed on the pitch.
