Based upon I say so, I'm going to list the players currently in the squad who would have a better or worse season in 2011/12:

RVP- if he stays fit, Messi will be too overawed to ask for his signature

Arshavin- he's been useless, will be better

    Nasri- more consistency, less sparkle

Fabregas- better, he's always bad after international tournaments

Sagna- same, he's good, we know he's good, up the Sagna

Vermaelen- he could come on pitch for 7 games and have a better season

Wilshere- worse, his hype will die down for the all conquering Rambo

Ramsey- will win everything, including the Seria A, La Liga and EPL, he's just that good

Song- Will stop bombing forward but will get sent off often

Walcott- more games, less goals per game

Djourou- bad start, will improve throughout

Koscielny- will make Beckenbauer wonder why he couldn't be as good as this guy, poor Becky

    Clichy- Same old same old

Szczesny- will mature but make a fair few mistakes

Bendtner- will ascend into godhood and will no longer be involved in activities so petty as football

Chamakh- will learn to shoot...from Van Persie's toddler son

Eboue- will give up the pretence and just turn up with pom poms and a cheerleading outfit

Vela- will cure world hunger with his winning smile

Gibbs- will merge with Giggs and turn into a 27 year old who is half way between brilliant and his brother's wife

Diaby- will be injured all season after an allergic reaction to that spurs shirt

Squillaci- will be sold to Italy in return for an Italian mobster

This has got to be the laziest article I have ever written.

Funny that. The next time I post an article that is not meant to be taken seriously I'll put a "WARNING WARNING DO NOT TAKE SERIOUSLY WARNING WARNING" banner at the top just for you.

Steevee you should learn to relax - if you don't like the thread just go and sit down in the corner on your own whilst we have a laugh...

That being said... I thought it was quite funny...

Thanks Invincibles, you'd have thought that people would celebrate the lessening of the iron grip of the BBC's 606 moderators, not have a go at joke threads.

With the gibbs part when I first read it I thought it said 'will merge with Giggs's wife'.

To be fair BBC 606 was retrospectively (sic) modded. The mods only acted when someone complained. You could say the modding here is worse as Piskie and myself read the majority of threads. This thread made me laugh anyway <ok>

Yeah but at least you don't delete threads based upon someone else not agreeing with you and you being too lazy to even read it.
    And glad you liked it.

The only problem with the thread is you missed out the bit about Ramsey single handedly demolishing the English at Wembley <laugh>

I rate Ramsey really, really highly. Even after his injury. I think he will be better than Fabregas as he has all of Fabregas' strengths and none of his weaknesses.

I don't rate Wilshere as highly to be honest. He's very good definitely, but I'd have expected more goals with his much touted left foot and so forth. He might be like Fabregas in that they will come when he gets a bit older but he's been found wanting when it comes to the final third. Arsenal have been criticised for being great until the final third and you've got to look at which players are to blame here.
That said, my criticisms of Wilshere are based upon my astronomical belief in Ramsey.

Aaron Ramsey will probably end up being the poster boy for Arsenal, girls will love him.
