All football fans want their club to beat every team they play. Reasonable but not, of course, realistic. Even Barca lose occasionally!

I've accumulated a series of teams that I feel we owe a good thrashing and I, perhaps naively, thought that this season was our time to hand out some of those thrashings.

How wrong I've been - so far.

Swansea are near the top of my list and we cannot escape from the fact we got pasted on opening day. Somehow the history of numerous defeats pales into less significance when a team beats you 5 nil. I now just hope that we can go there and upset their season as they have upset ours.

Norwich. Enough said! We ground out an undeserved draw at Carrow Road and I am hoping that come 2.2.13 QPR might finally send Fatty Holt packing with his tail between his legs. (Samba, no dodgy tackles please - you don't need to take up from where Joey left!).

Fulham. So nearly. Was desperate for us to at least win at home last season and, frankly, that looked entirely plausible until the dreaded red card again. Roll on 15.12.13. I suspect MH has a desperate ache to beat that lot and wipe the silly grin off Jol's face.

Chelsea. Last season was great and the draw felt more like a win this season too.

West Ham. As for Swans, hope we can go there and upset their season.

Villa and Sunderland. Would really like to beat these two since we came so close last season too. In the Villa game we were denied two stonewall penalties and Sunderland are just annoying (don't know why so don't ask!).

As to Man U, Man C, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool - just hope we can put on an improved show as time progresses.

As to whoever left, just hope we can pick up enough points to get the job done.

Hey, ho. Roll on 21.10.13 when we can discuss how the Mighty Hoops turned over The Toffees!!

    COYRsss!!!!

Don't forget Reading; we owe them a good thrashing after the cup exit, and Newcastle, we were unlucky twice against them last year. To be honest, any win against anybody anytime would cheer me up bigtime.

It's hard to wish for much more than this for the moment. It would be quite nice for the Rs get three points on their travels one day too.
