Oh yeah as he has 1 bad game so he must be completely ****e - I wish peopla would stop slating players on one performance - what about Larsson? McClean? Gardner? Bridge? All very poor last night Every player has a bad performance in them it just appears that ours have them all on the same day
so he is past it because he had one bad game??? what about the rest of the team? they all past it to??
I don't think he was any worse than the rest of the headless chickens that played last night. As a team we never settled and never closed them down, it was all too frantic and chasing shadows. That left gaping holes for Everton to play the sort of pretty passing football that we played in the first 20 mins at Goodison. Those gaping holes were in front of the back four and so Turner and the Greek were pulled all over the place ..... I am sure that if O'Shea had been there, he too, would have wondered where that midfield protection had gone. Alas, Catts is not the sort of inspiring captain that brings a sense of 'calm' to the game, is he? So yes, he had a bad game .... but so did they all!!!
Turner was the worse of the 2 IMO. The incidents in the second half were he let the ball bounce in our box and his attempted backpass later on were cringeworthy.
Not sure it is 1 bad game like, been allowing him time to get back to match sharpness but he is positionally very bad and laughable on the deck. Got bullied in the air last night too so what exactly are his qualities? Not saying it was his fault but he is not a very good player imo regardless of last night
Agree but then again 10 games in I thought O'Shea was on his way to being the anti-Christ so perhaps being premature but he has been shocking.
So what happens if killa has 1 bad game - again drop him? On last night you could probably drop 8 or 9 of the players that started - Blackburn and Last Night were 2 terrible performaces by the team - singling out an individual when the team plays badly is very wrong - if Kill starts against Man City and gets tortured where do we go then? With Bramble, O'Shea and Brown injured we only have the Greek, Turner and Kilgallon so if 2 of them have a bad performance who do you play? I don't mind Kyrgiakos - he looked like he got a shout for the first goal to me (and the only player I could see shouting was Jelavic!) As fans we never seem to give players time - Wickham seems to be getting some stick (when he plays) from around me - he's 19 year old and I personally think he will be a good player - but people getting on his back will wreck him before he's even started - Judge over the course insted of with a knee jerk
Not for the first time spot on lad. Franco Baresi would have struggled defensively behind our midfield last night. Kyriagos has to have time to settle like any other player and I happen to think the lad was strong in the air. IF you want to be fair, Sess, McClean, Catts, Bardsley, Vaughan and Larsson were absolutely awful as well last night don't get me started on Bendtner? We just got outplayed by a very good team. **** happens. Get over it and stop slagging the lads off for 1 or 2 bad games. We could still finish top 8 and have played a quarter final. FFS.
I havn't seen Kilgallon play one game where he could of been considered as poor and for that reason I would be selecting Kilgallon ahead of Kyrgiakos. I've thought Kilgallon looked composed and solid in every game he has played. Kyrgiakos seems to have that intangible quality that Nyron used to emit in abundance. That quality that makes your heart rise into your mouth... Not a pleasant quality, especially for those on statins after a few pints and a kebab.
To be honest, Kyrgiakos is just not a very good footballer. I said it the first day you guys signed him and wondered what O'Neill was doing. There's good reason why he's been bouncing around from club to club every season before Liverpool shipped him off to Wolfsburg who sent him on loan to you after only 7 apps. He's had some good games but far too many poor ones. Reminds me of Williamson to be honest. Really don't know why O'Neill went for him of all players. I know there was that whole experience factor but surely there were better players out there...
I don't think there were many other players with premier league experience who were available on loan during January. I'd certainly give Kilgallon the nod over Krygiakos based on what I've seen thus far on the pitch.
Yes, but where did virtually every one of his headers go? It didn't ever seem to be to our players. Again, granted you could say the same for Mig's kicks and most passes last night by the midfield.
Carroll tore him a new arsehole and Nile ranger terrorised him at our place last season. and if those two can give him the run around then the out look is bleak.
